A necessary upgrade
Works SO much better than the little round plastic stand. You can do more exercises.

Works well for it's purpose
It's very helpful for doing squats. The small foot platform that comes with the total gym is way to small for that purpose. The only thing I don't like is the high cost for a couple of metal tubes with some plastic.

Provides stability
I purchased my total gym for recovery after a knee injury. The plan was to continue squats on the total gym after PT. It came without the stable foot board though. That was more than 10 years ago. Now I've finally had a knee replacement so I purchased this footboard. It's perfect. My recovery is going well and I have augmented my routine with 1 legged squats using the total gym. I recommend this accessory.

Nice and solid
This fit perfectly in my XLS. My wife had severe sepsis last year and lost her ability to stand, let alone walk. She's been building back her leg strength over the last few months and this Total Gym has been the best thing we've found for her to work out on doing "squats". This is much better than the pool or weights. This stand is so much easier for her to use than the little one that comes with it.
