Good bumper for the money. Nice fit &finish
Solid bumper. Heavy duty. Easy install on a TJ. Should last me a long time. Winch mounted with no issues. Nice size- fits my jeep usage /trail riding. Finish is like a krinkle texture. We will see how well that holds up. No reason to think it won’t b an issue.

Amazing Bumper!
Having seen a lot of aftermarket bumpers I can say that I am really impressed with what you get in this bumper for the money. Although Smittybilt did go downhill for a while, it really seems like the products they are putting out now are good quality, and great value. You get a great looking, heavy duty, functional bumper for a third of what you might pay for something similar. Also, if you happen to have flat flares like Bushwacker, or Xenon it looks great and the lines match up perfectly! I was so impressed with this bumper I bought the rear also and am equally satisfied with that. A lot of these bumpers do the same thing, so obviously the decision is highly preferential. I happen to really like this design. If you really like the basic no frills 2x4 steel design, you can get something just as heavy duty for even less money. If you like the more fluid designs, your alternate choices in brands like bestop, arb etc...are going to run you a lot more cash!

Couldn't be happier
The bumper bolted right up to everything, and the hardware was included. All holes lined up , no problems whatsoever. Winch bolted up no problem as well. The construction of the bumper looks and feels plenty sturdy to me and I've been a professional welder/ fabricator for 25 years. I couldn't build this bumper myself better or cheaper. Plus it's got a thick powder coating which would be an additional cost if building my own. Couldn't touch this bumper in time & material or quality to build it. Definitely worth the purchase price.

Overall the bumper is a good value but one of the d-ring mounts was welded on crooked at the factory
Ill start by saying I got my 2002 Jeep Sahara when my father passed away and he had a blue ox tow system installed on the jeep. Somebody hit me on the passenger side at the bumper, fender and fender flare and the person paid me cash for the repairs to avoid an insurance claim. So I decided to not go the stock replacement parts route. I ordered the Smittybilt XRC front bumper and it showed up pretty quickly. Next was the install which took about 6 hours because the blue ox tow bracket was bolted on one side using the 3 steering gear bolts that run through the frame and on the other side it had these small keeper nuts placed inside the jeep frame to hold the bracket bolts. You could barely get a combination wrench inside the jeep frame to hold those nuts while you loosened the bolts and this took me quite a bit of time to get it off. Once the blue ox tow bracket was off then came the original jeep bumper fasteners. Its a torx T55 internal socket. Best to spray the bolts with some type of penetrating oil and have a cheater bar handy if you dont have a breaker because they can be tough to break loose and remove. Next was Installing the bumper with the provided hardware and since all the bolt holes lined up it was a breeze. I wish they would have made pre-drilled holes up by the light tabs so you could run wiring without drilling through the powder-coat finish yourself. All-in-all the bumper fit good and looks good. One thing to note is one of my D-ring mounts was welded in crooked at the factory so I dont know how that will affect fit or function when using it to pull the jeep but otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

Easy installation , great bumper
Super easy installation, no drilling. better get your big boy pants on; it’s heavy, specially if mounting a winch. Looks clean, heavy duty, plenty of gussets , nice welds

Awesome!
I was initially skeptical about this bumper because the picture on Amazon does not show the most current version and the price seemed way too low as compared with other outlets. I did some research on the Smittybilt website and made the decision to go ahead and purchase this bumper. I was immediately impressed by how rapid Amazon shipped the bumper and how quickly I received it , all without paying one dime for shipping. Once I opened the well packed box I was excited to see it does have light mounts and the weld lugs for clevis installation. It is exactly as the Smittybilt website shows. Installation was a breeze. I had it installed in less than 15 minutes and that even included removing my factory bumper. Wow! Great product and sharp look for the Jeep. Thank you Amazon and Smittybilt. It is refreshing to receive such excellent service.

Defective or used??? Not Happy!
Ordered this bumper based on high reviews and received damaged product. Looks like I recieved either a factory reject or used item. Mounting holes are damaged and and looks like a terrible paint job where the holes are. I literally just received this bumper 25 min ago. Very disappointed. Returning to seller, will update post.

Better Than I Could Have Expected
I spent a good bit of time comparing various Manufacturers and the front bumpers they sell. Jeepers are certainly not short of variety and choices; however, costs certainly do create limitations. Smittybilt's XRC Front Bumper is a good go-between for those not wanting to shell out a huge amount of money for something such as an ARB or other top brand bumper. That's not to say you are sacrificing quality for a low cost. Smittybilt has cleaned up its act over the years and does bring quality products to the market. Overall, the quality of the this bumper is fantastic. I was weary upon reading some reviews stating that the powder coat was hastily applied and that the welds were sloppy. With my particular bumper that does not seem to be the case; the packaging alone was extremely secure and well done. I had to cut through layers of tape, bubble wrap and a rubbery padding that was wrapped around the entire bumper. As soon as I got everything fully unpacked and set aside I took a moment to examine the bumper from end to end; everything was perfect. The installation would be a breeze if all you intend to do is install it immediately after removing your factory bumper. In my case it took a little over an hour and a half to install because I also had installed a 9.5k Smittybilt Winch and had to rewire my KC Hi-Lites. Just ensure that if you intend to mount a winch do that first because once you have it attached to the frame of your Jeep reaching the mounting location is impossible. The only thing I particularly didn't like all that much, which is a minor gripe if anything, is that the light tabs have a spot for you to ground your lights; however, the hole locations for a nut/bolt/screw are a bit close to the stinger bar--which means bolts/screws go in at a slight angle and become almost impossible to work with. I ended up just running my ground to where my original location, hence why I had to rewire my lights slightl to extend the wiring.

Great quality
Perfect fit for my 2004 Rubicon. Well built. Mounted a Smittybilt winch on it, holes aligned perfectly. Make sure you mount the winch on the bumper before installing.

Great value for money
I am very pleased with the bumper, if I was to complain about anything it would be the size of the holes for the lights (the welded tabs on the tube) they are 1/2” holes. Way overkill for any aftermarket light I have ever installed. Most require 1/4, 5/16 maybe 3/8, I ended up having to install rivit nuts into the holes to take up the extra slop for the 1/4” bolts and yeah it sounds petty and really kinda is but that is the only complaint I have on it.

Well built
Two mounting holes required widening to fit properly. Other than that, easy install.
