Q: What is the actual thickness of this twine - in mm or inches?

Bad Video shows conventional thread at top of image, tufting twine to the right and a stick pin on the magnet for reference. I’d say it’s just under 1/16” in diameter.

Q: Can this twine be dyed?

I haven't died this twine. But it is nylon and over the years we've died nylon webbing (white) with fair to mediocre results. Much of the polyurethane does not die well or polyster webbing and things like zipper tape won't die well. I've tried believe me. However nylon is more acceptable. This is not coated or waxed so it might work well. I recommend buying one of the smaller packs if you are hesitant and see if that dies. However I would not trust it to be UV secure or hold up over time as it probably will fade. You might prefer to search for some of the colored paracord nylons in colors close to what you are wanting. They sometimes want to fray but use a lighter to melt their ends every time you cut a piece on both the roll and the pieces you cut off. Good luck.

Q: can this be used to secure spring to webbing?

In my book, The Complete Guide to Upholstery, it states that, "Laid cord is used for lashing down springs."
