Just used this for a hiking trip in the Grand Canyon because the default case doesn’t allow for the wheel to stay attached. I was pretty rough on it this trip getting it in and out of my bag as well as using it all the time. It’s great. I wish the hand strap was a little wider but that wasn’t a deal breaker at all.

I was planning on getting the Osmo Pocket (OP) wheel controller so I got this case in advance. I was hoping it would work as well as the OEM case if I use it with the OP without the wheel. Sadly, the elastic band is kind of loose without the attachment. It will still keep the OP in the case mind you, just pointing out a flaw for this review. The rest of the product seems well made and the materials used are OEM like. Not bad at all.

I just used it for a 8 day cruise and stay from Boston to Montreal. It worked very well. Initially a little snug making it difficult to get the pocket out of the case. It loosened up, so that it was easier. Wish it had a belt loop to hold it on the belt. The strap can be attached to the belt, and I would slip the pocket in the case into my pocket. The pull it out, pull the Pocket out and let the case dangle. Things I would like to see: case adapted to have the wifi base on (flared or just cut short). Overall very glad I bought this case.

I think DJI dropped the ball on the original case. The original case should have the capacity and design to hold the scroller wheel accessory. This new case is sturdy, nicely made and fits perfectly the OSMO pocket with Scroller wheel. Osmo Pocket is safe in this case just like original.If you have Scroller wheel or expansion pack, just get this case. You won't be disappointed.Thanks.

Seem pretty much identical to the original case, except it is configured to allow the controller wheel accessory to remain in place all the time. My most important consideration was I did not want to have to slide the controller wheel on and off the Osmo every time I used the camera and possible miss shots while doing so. The rubber strap could secure a bit better. The original snapped over a pin, this one is slotted and if you're not careful to make sure it's securely over the male post, Osmo could fall out. That said I am completely happy with the modified carrying case.

Overall this case is pretty good at protecting the camera and making it so that the head doesn't get damaged when in my pocket. There's only two main issues that I have with the case. The first is that the strap that wraps around the opening doesn't always secure that well so it can sometimes pop open. The second, where they put the wrist strap holes in the case is right where the lens rests so there's always the possibility of of dust, lint, or other small items that can damage the lens can easily get in. Past that, this is a good case and protected my camera while at San Diego Comic Con and on a trip through Europe.

I have an OSMO 1 and the thumb wheel accessory. I have a little zipper case that would hold the OSMO in the carrying case but not with the wheel attached.This solves the problem of pulling out the OSMO, taking it out of the carrying case, attaching the wheel, then trying to shoot a video. When I was done, unless I was carrying the little zipper case, I had to just put the wheel in my pocket.This case solves that problem.The quality is every bit as good as the original DJI case and it was not expensive.Recommended if you are an OSMO 1 user with the wheel.
