I was 5'4", and an exercised 132 pounds when I bought these shorts in a size 5. I also carry my weight in my hips and thighs. I felt as if these shorts ran true to size. Hope this helps you make your decision.

I am 5’6, 143lbs 30inch waist, 43 hips and I purchased the 7 and 9 first and kept the 7’s. I wore them one day and BOY DID THEY GET LOOSE everywhere but more on the waist and I don’t really like tight things. Purchased the 5’s and they are PERFECT!!! They stay the same size lol!! All I ask for!
