Keyless Entry Remote Smart Key Fob Shell Case Button Pad Cover for Ford Fusion Mustang Explorer Lincoln MKZ MKC 2013-2017

Exact replacement and worked like a charm. Had already watched a few YouTube vids on these fobs (of which I am NOT a fan) but due to small plastic pieces breaking the lower metal “holder” clip thingee (that’s an OEM term LOL) wouldn’t stay on ours. There also was a sticker on the packaging that said, “If the 2032 batteries keep it from closing, try the 2025 ones” which I thought was odd. But I had no issues.I took my time and sat down at the table with a small screwdriver, flashlight, and one of those trim tools. Instead of using the included silicone “frame” overlay thing for the circuit board, I just removed it and transferred it over from original since it was already in place. Carefully removed the middle piece, swapped out the metal emergency key for the blank, and snapped it back together. Tested buttons and had no probs. No issues at all. Had previously ordered one of those jackets for another fob but it feels bulky and buttons are kinda hard to press through the 2 layers so thinking about ordering another one of these.

Absolutely perfect! I have a 2015 Ford Fusion with only 45K miles. Both original key fobs broke at the key ring. These replacements, I bought two, are exactly what I needed. Just put the old key guts into the new shell and you're good to go, they work great. The quality is as good if not better than OEM, like new! I would highly recommend.

Cheap quality, break in a few months

This is a great replacement for my 2017 Ford F-150 key fob. However it took 20 minutes to assemble it and I used the different battery size. I took it apart and redid it about 10 times until I got the right sequence of assembly. Be prepared to set off your car alarm many many times.

I had a keyfob for my 2017 Explorer that was damaged, but the electronics still worked.All I had to do was transfer all the electronics over to this empty shell and was able to get a functioning keyfob again, super cheap. These fobs are very expensive, but these empty shells are the best solution if your keyfob problem is not related to the electronics. Super easy to do, took me about 5 minutes to move my key over and now it’s better than it has been since I’ve owned the vehicle.

It’s just the housing, but putting the guts into the new case saved us from having to spend hundreds on a new fob altogether!!

Fits my car like it is supposed to, however it is very difficult to get closed once you put the microchip and battery in it. The part that goes on the Keychain also breaks easily, but that is every single one of these, not just this brand.
