Delphi

Excellent book, very well written and provides great background for Delphi. It's a few decades old, but Delphi hasn't changed much. There's a nice fold-out 3D reconstruction of the Sanctuary of Apollo in the back.

Very helpful and in good condition. Glad to have it before my trip to Athens.

Book came promptly and in excellent condition. There is enough information to remind you of the crucial facts about Delphi but not too much to make it a heavy book to carry around. Filled with beautiful high quality photos of the site and the artifacts. I also love the fold-out map which shows Delphi how it used to stand.

The local bus service time table meant I couldn't afford to wait in the queue at the museum after visiting the archaeological site of Delphi in May this year. I was a bit disappointed not to have been able to buy one at the time, but delighted when I found I could purchase one through Amazon.The copy I received was in excellent condition and included a detailed map of the site. It gave me a good overview of site and a better perspective of how it was possibly founded, and developed over it's lifetime.Looking through the guide brought back wonderful memories of my visit to Delphi. I gave it a four star rating because of a couple of iffy pieces of translation. Otherwise very enjoyable.

This book is fine for an overview and the maps are good but it is a little lightweight for me and I hadn't realised the published date - 1992. Still for the price paid o.k.
