This does work for cats who have stomach problems. Its works just like forta flora and it costs less. Which is good if you have more than one cat. It also does not have pumpkin which sometimes can help settle kitty stomach but it has fiber which can make diarrhea worse.PROS~Cost Less than Purina ( If you have more than one cat this is a plus...actually a big plus.)~Can be measured by you. No pre packaged headache. ( Comes in handy with multiple cats.)~It's in a black container. This is good because it keeps light from getting to it. Like any kind of "yeast" it needs to be stored in a cool dry place for the best effectiveness. The packaging itself helps with that.CONS~It needs to be in a cool dry place. I have mine in my basement that is always for some god forsaken reason stuck at a permanent 68 Degrees so it's not a problem. Some people keep there houses warmer or colder depending on their comfort level. The packaging itself does help with light and dry.~The scooper is a pain! They get one full scoop a day and that little bugger is a pain in the back side to a.) Find in the dang container! b.) Get it to be full without completely compacted with how fine the powder is!OVERALLThis and Fortaflora work pretty much the same. Just this happens to be the cheaper of the two. It does take roughly 24 to 48 hours to start seeing results in your cats stool with either.

Update July 2023- It was confirmed they discontinued this product which is extremely disappointing. Here was the reply to my email that I sent through their website on 7/09/23. Their new product is flavorless, which does not help me to entice my cats with health issues to actually eat. I will be going back to Fortiflora that has a flavor my cats like, but they much preferred this one. Sad...Hi Kelly,Thank you for reaching out to us. He would eat when I dusted his wet food with this. The flavor must be AWESOME, because it helped me to feed my elderly sick cat. I still have a 3 year old and a 6 year old who absolutely love the flavor, too. I am a repeat customer, and my only complaint is the price. Especially if you have a multi-cat household. But, I have to continue to buy this, as I want the best for my cats and they freakin love it. I also recommended it to my friend who has 4 cats at various ages and a couple picky eaters, they love it, too. If you have a picky eater, or if you want to add probiotics to your cats diet to help with digestions and good gut health, I HIGHLY recommend trying this. I trust it has the probiotics that it advertises, but I am not a chemist. I want my cats to have probiotics, and I trust Jackson Galaxy to make a quality cat product.

A little difficult to review this product because my cats can't speak, but they no longer have the occasional diarrhea! Would be difficult to get cats to eat it with dry food because it's a powder but I mix dry food, wet food and water all together for my cats already so this was easily mixed in and they don't mind it at all. However my cats are not picky whatsoever when it comes to food so keep that in mind.

We have four cats, and they've been having a run of gas and diarrhea. We've been to the vet multiple times, and each time they give us tests and probiotics. The tests are always negative, but the probiotics work. In an effort to get off this merry go round of testing and vet trips, I bought some probiotics from Amazon. The first batch was okay. It helped with the diarrhea, but not the gas, and only 3 out of 4 cats liked it. Since the one that didn't like it is the one with the biggest odor issue, I looked further and found Jackson Galaxy probiotics.This one ALL the cats love! Even our elderly cat has learned when it's probiotic time and comes out of the bedroom for this. We mix it with Fancy Feast pate cat food, put it out and the cats (literally) lick the plates clean.So, they like it, that's good. But does it work? It seems to be working well. Our cat with the *really* foul smelling feces is much better. (Think burning tires and coffee grounds.) Yes, it still smells bad, but more like feces and less like burned rubber tires mixed with coffee grounds. (Not a smell that you want lingering in your house for even a minute!)

Good! Ever since March 2020, my 11 year old cat had developed occasional bouts of diarrhea. The vet prescribed Purina Probiotics (the one in small packets), and it worked. However, as of October 2020, my cat has been pooping out very wet, smelly patties again. Stunk up the whole house. By then, I ran out of the Purina Probiotics, so I was considering buying more. The Jackson Galaxy stuff appeared as an alternative, and it comes in a jar, with far more product for the money. Since Jackson Galaxy is a trusted name, and the majority of the reviews were good, I gave this a chance.Within a few days, the horrible stench stopped. After 2 weeks, about 50% of the cat's poop is good and solid. But even the wetter ones aren't horrific-smelling, so this counts as a considerable improvement. I sprinkle the daily dose on top of the cat's wet food, mix it up, and he's always eagerly awaiting his daily wet food/Jackson Galaxy probiotics dose. No problem at all convincing the cat to take his medicine!The jar will last a good, long time. Love the larger amount, and the less-packaging waste, and a jar, instead of pricier individual packets.
