These survived 2 solid days of usage by several destructive kids that tear through toys like a hot knife through butter. Every ball is intact, whereas we lost multiple of the standard, thinner shelled balls to cracks and being crushed. They may be good in wind or outdoors, but they also hold up against users who are rough on things.

I have been using these outdoor balls in my backyard, only on days when the wind actually affects play. I have been able to extend my outdoor play as early as April into November. If your game is fast and furious, wear a half glove as when the temperature drops and a defensive block missed,it can bruise your knuckles. If fact, I am about to purchase another box to bring over to a friend's so he can roll his table onto the patio so he can open some space in his rec room. Awesome idea!✨🏓

You've obviously come to read about these balls because you're having trouble with wind or other elements outdoors. So, I don't know why other reviewers are complaining about their performance. Of course you're not going to get professional level 3-star reliability with these - you're outside fighting the wind! I was getting very frustrated playing with ordinary balls on my outdoor table, but these made all the difference in the world. They're a little harder and a little heavier which takes some getting used to, but it is still a vast improvement from ordinary balls getting tossed around like a feather. Give 'em a try!

great product! at work, we play on an outside pingpong table, on the balcony of the 2nd floor.. the area seems to be a trap for wind. regular pong balls would just get carried away in an unplayable manner on all but the calmest of days. these seem to be pretty wind resistant - they are a little heavier, but they still feel and play like a regular ball. they are durable too - over the past couple of months we've only broken one out of the set, and we are constantly slamming it on rough surfaces.

I live on top a hill and we play outside only. These balls perform very close to normal ones, yet the wind doesnt have as much effect on them. I am only using 1 ball to see how long it last. Time will tell, but so far so good. A year from now I may give it 5 stars.

I bought these to play table tennis at the local park and they do the trick. They do take quite a beating because we are playing on a concrete table and they are falling on cobble stones but we haven't lost one to damage yet.

Works well outdoors

Before you open these balls, make sure it says "OUTDOOR" on them. I ordered 4 that had the outdoor logo. They were of high quality. Then I ordered 8 more that didn't say "OUTDOOR", they were junk. Four cracked the first week. There is no refund on them.UPDATE (July 29, 2019): Amazon sent me 8 replacement balls—next day delivery. What a great company. However, the containers had "outdoor" on them but make sure "outdoor" IS ON THE BALL. Otherwise don't open the containers. The balls marked with "outdoor" are heavier and made for outdoor. The ones that don't have "outdoor" ON THE BALL appear to be regular balls. This isn't Amazon's fault. I've read the reviews and others had the same problem. Four cracked the first week. Stiga needs better quality control. Or bring back the old ones.

I’ve been on the lookout for table tennis balls that are slightly more wind resistant than the normal pulse you can buy, but retain a reasonable balance. Ultimately, my search continues. While not as bad as the Joola equivalent, these Stiga balls are strangely weighted in a way that affects the bounce, but doesn’t really improve their wind resistance at all. I compared these balls to three different regular table tennis balls of different brands, and the wind actually had a great impact on these than some of the others, despite being slightly heavier.Unfortunately, the poor quality balance means that these are incredibly frustrating to play with, so I would caution you from buying them.
