YOUCAT for Kids

Love the Youcat series! Great book with lovely prayers.

The Youcat for Kids is written perfectly for young children, and allows for parents to begin to introduce not just themselves, but also their children, to the various practical ways of living one's Catholic Faith. Ideally, this book is written for those in First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation, but the drawings and art work will captivate even younger children! Adults and children alike will find benefit in owning a copy of this particular version of the catechism, as a jumping off point to growing deeper in faith.

This book has been awesome for my two daughters and has really opened up a nice dialogue and exploration of the Catholic Faith. It has really shown me how much they already knew and provided a way to learn about their faith in a fun and relaxed way. On another note, I have benefited tremendously from reading it and I have been through Catholic school from 1st grade all the way through college! It has really helped me to look at things from a foundational level as the "regular" Catechism is challenging to read and comprehend. I believe every family should have a copy of this book!

I like the simplicity of the images and clarity of framing elements of faith. I would recommend it, however, as a reference for a parent or catechist rather than for direct use with children unless supplemented by a conversation with an adult.

The typical ambiguity and wishy washy theology of modernism and globalism is the source of this entire Catechism. This is less a Catechism than an indoctrination into modernism. If you have positive things to say about this product, I daresay that you have simply not experienced the clarity, depth, and beauty of a traditional Catechism. The Baltimore Catechism is wonderful: it includes different volumes for different age ranges and children love it. For adults, do not deprive yourselves of the Catechism of the Council of Trent. The new Catechism intentionally waters down some aspects of the faith in the name of ecumenism and what is deemed acceptable to a modern audience: i.e, feminists, liberals, universalists. The new Catechism has many worthwhile sections that are important and true, but it often sacrifices clarity and brevity to make highly nuanced and even controversial expressions liable to misinterpretation. The Catechism of Trent is based on the teachings of the single greatest Church council in salvation history. It summarizes and explains the true and perennial Faith confirmed by over 1,500 years of the life of the Church. It crystalizes truth and through this pure lens sheds light on the murky and ambiguous teaching that has precipitated the collapse of the Faith since the Protestant Reformation and rise of Liberalism and especially since the second Vatican Council. It is easier to understand in many ways and more digestible. It is not for academics or traditionalists: it is for everyone! It gives you the correct object of Faith, that by grace you may give your full assent in obedience to the Magisterium. Great book for the kids, many questions with answers kid friendly. Good images. My 6 and 7 years old loved it!!

Great book for kids to discover JESUS. 17 cmx 22,5 cm big 240 pages, colorful . has 5 chapters , Kids can find answers Where does the world and everything that exisits com from? That book can't be read in one day so much knowledge and answers for different questions. Bought this book for my daughter who is having Holly Communion in May this year. Great Catechism. Would recomend for everyone not necessary for kids.

Awesome book. Clean. Useful for teaching children the Catholic faith. Accessible language makes it suitable for adults too.
