I recommend this item.
Nice little gauge it is cheep but I haven't had any problems with it other then the place of it on my motor it always says it's over heating bc the factory temp sensor is right on top of one of my cylinders but other then that and it no liking my amp it works great the gauge goes up if I'm listing to loud music bc the wires are right next to each other and sometimes will make the gauge glitch out and just show up one random number in the middle of the screen. But the little red light still indicates when it hit 212 degrees f I believe.

12VDC vehicle coolant temperature gauge
I installed this in my John Deere 6x4 Gator to keep an eye on the engine temperature. The vehicle does have an idiot light that came on a few times but I wanted to know what the temperature actually is since the radiator fan does not run constantly. This was an easy install. I purchased an Universal Radiator Hose Sensor Gauge Adapter (28mm) to spice into the radiator hose coming out of the engine an inserted the sensor into the adapter. I cut a 2" hole in the plastic dashboard to mount the gauge. The minimum reading on the gauge is 104F when cold. But as soon as the engine warms up the thermostat opens, the gauge responds immediately.

BUMMED
This product came delivered covered in fingerprints and sticky filth, AND WITHOUT THE SENDING UNIT OR WIRING. it states it comes with them both and I will assume so also becuase I have most of all of the other gages from this range and they came correct and work great. This has bummed me out hardcore becuse not only can I NOT find the actual wiring needed for this particular gage to buy, I cant even rig it becuase the terminal is so small and weird I can’t find one around to make my own coz it’s oddly random. My only choice is to buy another whole complete set up for the second time and hope they get it right, or just smash it with a huge hammer and just go without knowing my temperature at all, and when my motor cooks il just hit that with a hammer too, then buy a Harley. No for real, I’m majorly bummed about this situation because I have this dirty grubby “brand new” useless gage on my table doing nothing and the real problem is I need that in my engine where there isn’t one. It’s like being starving and the food place is right there giving out food, but for some reason the guy driving you there went the wrong way somehow totally- you might get there but ya know, you might not. Either way you paid for something that wasn’t close to what you expected and that my friends sucks. If they wanna send me a wiring that wasn’t put in my order and temperature sending reader that was also not in the “ kit” to actually measure my temp, please feel to do so. Maybe you can throw in the fuel gage from the same line as a courtesy gesture. It’s caused me a lot of frustration since I have an engine on the test stand and just want to make sure it’s al working before dropping it in and now it’s just like well there goes at least another week lost to some body who simply just can’t seem to do there job. Livid. Based on other reviews it’s not even worth trying to get anything out of them if this does occur so il take it for the team and say thanks a lot dudes enjoy my money. To bad I can’t enjoy your product. - the wireless upset sender from the blue lagoon ( Texas)

Works! Needs proper ground
Works good but the instructions are obviously unclear. If you wire the is up how it says the gauge will only read 104 and never move up, you must ground the green wire to a solid engine ground or the negative terminal. Any other ground won’t be enough and the gauge will read 305

Cheap and easy
For the price you can’t beat it. Had it for a couple months and it works great. Only thing I don’t like is the gauge does read any lower than 104 but not a big deal. If your on a budget it’ll work fine

Questionable Accuracy
I've been running this for about 6 months now in a 1993 Geo Metro. The sensor is mounted in the thermostat housing, directly across from the sensor for the "dummy" temp gauge standard for this car. I thought it was working fine, then I noticed something funny when summer arrived and I started using the air conditioner. As soon as I turn on the AC the temp gauge reading jumps: about 10 degrees F with the blower on 1, 20 degrees with the blower on 2, etc. If I turn off the AC the reading drops immediately. I don't see how the actual coolant temp could rise and fall at the thermostat housing instantaneously. Since the "dummy" gauge doesn't actually show temp, I don't have anything to compare this gauge to. I was considering using 2 of these in my truck--for coolant and trans--but after this experience I'm hesitant.

looks good
2 down & waiting for 1 more gauge to arrive before mounting... They should be pretty cool...

Accurate quality
Our original temp guage did not work. We drive on the beach alot. We were worried about overheating. So we got this good looking, easy to read temperature guage. Easy to install. Follow the directions. You will need to lengthen the wires. It connects to 'keyed power' and the temp sender on the engine. Locate this before you order. you might need a new sender if the old one doesn't work. We got the guage holder separately, from Amazon also, as well as a new sender. Covered all the bases. Follow up note: After installation we found the faulty wire to the OEM guage. Once repaired, the old guage in the IP worked fine. So we don't need this great looking guage. Let me know if you want it , cheap.

well just went on a long drive was working great when all of a sudden my car decided to run cold at 140 Fahrenheit with this gauge, is this possible I really don't think so since it was a rather worm day , I don't trust this gauge any more.
