Minor miracle in a bottle. Short term results are incredible.
This product seems like a miracle... I'm cautiously optimistic, but can't find any fault whatsoever.I have an enormous 44,000 gallon pool that was losing 3-4 inches of water a week with the pump running. Classic return line symptoms. Got out the borescope and scoped all the return jets and found no breaks in the pipe. Remembered the return line for the Polaris, found what looked to be a pretty major break. Because I'm a natural cynic, I contacted Marlig Customer support who confirmed that I would need 2 of the 32 ounce bottles, and they walked me through the process. After telling them how much water I was losing, they estimated that I had a 50/50 shot at resolving the leak with their product. I decided to give it a shot anyhow. After pouring 2 bottles down the skimmer, brushing the product back to the main drain ever 6-8 hours for 3 days, and waiting a couple of days it seems that my leak is fixed. It's been about a week since the product was applied, I've switched my sand filter back to filtration, and the pool has dropped a little more than 1/4" since then. I had been adding water twice a week, and it looks like at this rate I may be good for a few weeks before evaporation takes enough out of the pool to worry about. It remains to be seen how long-term this fix is, but the short-term results have been absolutely staggering. I'd love to talk with a product expert from Marlig who could explain what the product actually is and how it gets such amazing results. If it lasts even a couple of years, it'll be well worth it. Would buy again without hesitation.

It does work as described.
It does work as described. I have a 16 x 32 in-ground pool screen enclosed on a 24 x 55 patio attached to the house. After doing self tests, I determined the leak to be in the return line but under the concrete.I Followed the directions on the bottle but also researched online for tips and proceeduresthat I may be unclear about, that the bottle does not cover. For example, I ran the pump for 48 hours even though my 1 and 1/4 inch leak per daystopped leaking during the first day. I also removed the cartridge filter as per dirctionsprior to adding the warmed and shaken Fix A Leak to the pool skimmer (I used a funnel).Although it claims not to damage salt cells, I did not want to chance it as I just paid $$$for a new one, so I removed mine and replaced it with the cell bypass pipe. Also it is supposedly safe for pumps but try as I may, I could not find anything related to thepump basket which of course has holes 1/8 of an inch or under. So, rather than removing itand taking a chance that debris wouldn't damage the impeller I opted to leave it in. However;you do have to keep an eye on it. I had to stop the pump once (briefly) to clean out the basketof debris and also white flakes that were trying to block the flow on the impeller side of the basket. As the leak was in the return line, I hooked my vacuum to the skimmer to keep everything incirculation and from settling to the bottom (very little brushing required). After about 48 hrs at the time of this post since shutting all down and while waiting for it tocure (I'll give it 3-4 days) my pool water has hardly dropped 1/4 inch which is normal dailyevaporation here in central Florida. As for some absurdly worded negative reviews; consider the source. They most likely have a leak or cracked pipe too large for the product to fix (or a jointseparation). You shouldn't berate the product with 1 star because this product didn't work for you if you don'tfirst understand WHY it didn't work. Those that say to hire a pro for $300 for an hours work obviouslyhad an easily accessable line that was probably cut at the leak and 1-2 each 50 cent coupler(s)inserted with a short piece of scrap PVC pipe. They coulld have saved $299 doing it themselves.(done that after proding for wet spots with a rod); but a "Pro" is not going to fix an under the conreteslab leak for $300 or in an hours time. So, as I said, consider the source, weigh the options, do theactual math for your particular situation. $25-30 stopped the leak as far as I can tell and definitely saved several thousand dollarsotherwise for professional no-digging flood-grouting, which I also looked into had this not worked( even a mini one-shot DIY kit was almost $1000 w/taxes & S+H). My next step is to cut down 3 trees near my slab of which I suspect one may be the "root" of it all.So, my advice is to try it once (maybe twice if it slows it down) and analyze the situation logically.Retun line leaks ARE easier to cure than suction line leaks but the product itself does work as claimed.

I had low expections.... I WAS WRONG!!!
WOW!!! I have an older hot tub, 16 years old. After filling it for this upcoming season, it was leaking, first time ever....My best guess was that it was about 1/4 gallon per minute, maybe about 4-5 drops per second. I was in panic mode. I took off the side panels and all I saw was foam insulation...EVERYWHERE!! After hours of pulling off foam, I finally found a wet area. I got some marine epoxy and applied it on the inside of the tub about where the leak was coming from. The leak stopped, to my amazement, but there were more leaks were somewhere else in the deep depths of the hot tub, where I could not reach. After talking to two hot tub repair guys, they said it wasn't worth it to (dollar wise) to try to repair. Even if the experts could find and repair the leaks, more could crop up at any time, ,mainly due to the age of the hot tub. So, I got this stuff, Fix A Leak Pool Sealer. After following the EZ instructions, I slowly dumped half of the 32oz bottle into the hot tub and kept the pumps running to circulate the water and help move the stop leak around. TWO HOURS LATER THE LEAK HAD ALMOST COMPLETELY STOPPED!!If you have a leak, take a chance on this stuff!! What do you have to lose??? Will the leak stay sealed, only time will tell. I can always dump in more of this stuff!!
