Such a good idea and gets claggy mud out of doggy paws easily

I know this product is quite pricey for what it appears to be but it’s genuinely worth the investment. I got a 12l one and I have two large golden retrievers who love water and mud but absolutely hate the bath and this can quite easily clean their paws and tummy as well as our muddy wellies with water to spare as well. We purchased this when our outdoor hosepipe broke and it just wasn’t feasible putting them in the bath after every walk. It’s also small enough to put in the boot of the car or take on holiday with you which has save our cars and carpet from being covered with mud. Also love it as you can add warm water which seems to get rid of mud much better than the cold hosepipe ever could and the dogs much prefer having a warm shower than a cold one 😂. The brush attachment on the end is brilliant for getting mud out from the paws and nails and also getting grit out from long haired fur. Overall just a really good product and design. The only problem I have with the Mud daddy is that you have to keep pumping ever 30 seconds or so to maintain the pressure and if you don’t the water just trickles out after about 30 seconds of using, apart from that it’s perfect!

Have 2 Doodles, this is a must have during this awful weather.

Fill it up with hot water before the walk and it is warm to clean the dogs off at then end of the walk and to clean my wellies too. I have a JRT and a PRT and the 8l does their legs, paws and tummies and my wellies with water to spare. The brush is quite stiff so I would advise light use if you do not have a thick coated dog and the hose is a bit unwieldy until you get your routine figured out. They also really could do with attaching soem sort of clip system to the brush head so it doesn't get in the way and prevent the hose from staying wound around the canister - I use a bit of velcro.Great for removing excess mud before getting in your car or entering your house, also for doing paws generally to remove pollen, salt and other contaminants that can contribute to sore paws, nibbling and allergies.It is a bit pricey for what it is, but is compact and has the option of the brush unlike soem cheaper (and dearer) competitors.

This ‘Mud Daddy’ was suggested to me by a professional friend who owns a flat-coated Golden Retriever and ‘knows somebody’ who recommended it.I have a long-haired, double-coated Rough Collie with an adventurous and exploratory temperament who just loves coming home mud-soaked in the winter months when the off-road woodland tracks in our local area (The Lincolnshire Wolds) are often soggy with mud, so I thought it might be the ideal method of washing the muck off him after a walk. The product seems like a good idea which, if well executed, would have a sizeable market and be quite popular.From initially high expectations, it didn’t take long for my enthusiasm to be dimmed. The main problems (only the main problems, not all of them) are:• No matter how much you pump, the ensuing water ‘jet’ is so feeble and weak that it actually has no effect whatsoever on a long-haired double-coated breed of dog covered in mud. And I do mean, NO EFFECT AT ALL: I was expecting something like hosepipe strength, and there is only a useless trickle• The brush in any case has bristles far too stiff for use on a dog, especially a long-haired breed• The hose leaks. If you place the useless thing on the floor of the car, either in one of the footwells or in the loading bay, it continually leaks water and soaks the carpets; there seems to be no way of preventing this, short of emptying the container completely prior to travellingSo, in summary: although the 8L water reservoir is constructed of an obviously tough and durable material, the water jet is too feeble to be of any use, the seals are of low quality and leak, and the brush bristles too stiff for use on a dog. These issues betray a poor design, poor QC and/or inadequate field testing. In the real world, it’s completely and utterly useless.This is possibly the most useless and poorly designed product I have ever purchased from the amazon website in 15 years.

I bought this to wash my two retrievers after muddy walks. The tank is big enough to wash them both properly before refilling. The pump handle could be better designed to stop your fingers hitting the top of the tank when pumping. The on-off slide switch broke after one month of careful use. It seems to have lost a spring.Overall a useful product but could be more sturdy with improved design.

Very easy to transport my dog loves it

The product works fine but it arrived with a significant dent. There was no damage to the packing so the dent must have been there when it was dispatched. I reported immediately to the supplier with a photo but I have not received ac reply

So handy. Our silver lab hates water and getting her in our tub is always an ordeal. This is perfect, especially in warmer weather. Sometimes I'll fill it and let it sit in the sun all day so it's warm. It's so convenient to use.

Got the 8 l version, and it was more than enough for my medium size and small size dog. There was even enough left over for me to wash mud off my shoes. I've only had this one day and just came back from a dog park that looked like a world war I battlefield. Mud everywhere just after a rain. After using this with the brush keeping it pumped up and pressurized, my dogs are almost as clean as if they just came out of the bath. And this is just with water no soap. I would recommend this to anybody. It looks like it's pretty simple in terms of its components so if an o-ring fails or slips or something should be easy to diagnose and repair. The plastic is very heavy duty also. Highly recommended at this point.

Really wanted to like this product but it’s very poorly made. I’ll pump the damn thing for five minutes just to get a small squirt of water. Plus the hose doesn’t even stay. Also bristles are too rough for my pups paws. They allowed me to return but I had to pay the $15 to ship it back. Plus I never got my refund.
