Patrol Sleeping Bag Foliage Green (Grey)

I ordered this bag in “Very Good” condition and upon receipt I found it to almost be like new. The bag is very light. Using just this bag I can get to the 30’s. However, often I use a SnugPak Jungle sleeping bag with built in mosquito net over this bag and that combo gets me to 0 zero degrees easy. It is cool, as this sleeping bag fits perfectly into the SnugPak thus giving me a mosquito net option. If raining I use the MSS bivy over all of it. The cool thing using a SnugPak Jungle Bag w this patrol bag instead of the MSS military intermediate bag is that it is a much much lighter combo.Note, I also have the older olive OD MSS Patrol Bag that goes to the Woodland Camo Bivy. In comparison I would say this Foliage Green Patrol Bag is a bit barely smaller at the feet and in general feels just a few degrees warmer than the older version. But all in all they are basically the same w no discernible difference. Love them both.

Based on the reviews I knew this surplus item was hit/miss depending on the seller so I specifically ordered this via Ammocanman supplier (who I do not know personally or have any affiliation with) as I had ordered the full gi sleep system in woodland camo last year for just over $100 that was also used and like this previously issued patrol bag the quality and ship time and price was exceptional from this seller. Received in 2 days despite non-prime, was listed used in very good condition and it is in excellent shape...I've attached a new ACU bivy scored from fleabay and jumped inside for quick inspection noting all zippers and snaps are not only functional, I would like to add the smoothness and ease of these zippers with the cord attachments is just awesome...didn't even have the typical storage smell I usually get with surplus gi gear...love the patrol bag/bivy combo so much for its protection, warmth and durability that I forego the little bit of excess weight in comparison to my ultralightweight bag and use this as my go-to sleep system.

Was concerned this new style version would not be new manufacture. Received item, looks brand new. Not in plastic overwrap. Shipped to me inside out. Don't know if that is standard, but it allowed me to inspect the interior and then swap it right side out to inspect the outside. Top zipper is a little stubborn, but I think that's because it is brand new. Bottom zipper is flawless. The insulation is the same thickness and probably type as the poncho liner. So this bag is like an enclosed poncho liner with 3/4 zipper and hood. Snapped right into the older style woodland camo Gore-tex bivy which I like better than the new ACU bivy. Looking forward to using it soon.Bought a second one from Clarksville Surplus. This second one is absolutely new. Not in plastic overwrap. It still had the white NS stock tag on the zipper. Both zippers of the second bag work flawlessly and the remainder of the bag is perfect.

Cheap as hell, very disappointing. Not worth the money. The zipper is total garbage and it's about as thick as a wind breaker jacket. Waste of money.

Got a few of these in for my family’s camping trip. Weather was near 30deg and these things worked great if just a tad on the cold side. Best thing about these is that I can stuff 4 of them into a single compression bag and it takes up about the same amount of room as a single conventional sleeping bag.

Got this for my son, who's moving to a colder climate, to go with his bivy cover and his -10 degree MSS bag. The bag looked new, smelled new - I have no reason to think it isn't.I'd get one myself, if I had a need for it!
