Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Microphone Bundle for Stage and Studio Professional Quality Recording Vocal and Instrument Mic with Pro 10ft XLR Cable

I podcast and have not found a mic that I love. I saw some reviews that said it was good and for the price, I decided to give it a try.I'm very pleased with it, but is in no way my primary mic. In the field, I use a pair of Shure Beta 58s and they do a great job there -- not so much in the studio. As expected, the Behringer is not as good as those, but it's not as far off as I expected considering the price. In the studio it is a little muddy on the bass, but crisp on the highs, but EQ easily smoothed that out. It also has plenty of gain. I use a Cloudlifter and that helps, but I'd do that with any dynamic mic.In short, it's a much better mic than the price would indicate and it is VERY rugged. Buy one, see if it does well for you. If not, keep it as it makes a good back-up. If you do voice only, you won't be throwing your money away. If you do music, this won't cut it.

The media could not be loaded.  Solid build. Has a little weight to it. The sound is pretty good. In the product description its suppose to come with an XLR cable but mine did not. I already have several so no biggy there. It does not come with a pop filter that you put on but I think it may have one built in can't remember. It sounds good and feels like a high quality product. Well worth the coin. 😉👍

I ordered this microphone to be a guest on a friend’s podcast after some thorough research. First of all, to an untrained ear, this microphone sounds almost as good as his $100+ micrphone when plugged into his Focusrite Scarlett interface so for the price you can’t beat it. The audio cable that came with it does not feel “premium” nor does the packaging suggest it, but that isn’t a dealbreaker for me. It arrived on time, seems to be made of high quality materials, and I’m sure I’ll put it through the ringer and will be sure to update my review if anything drastic happens.

This mic performs very well at a low cost. Highly useful as an entry level mic. Great on picking up vocals. It's not the best sounding mic ever, but you'd be hard pressed to find one better at the same price. The inclusion of the cord makes this a great package.

The media could not be loaded.  I have bought this microphone ‘cause I play every Sunday with my own Band and the sound quality of the mic is excellent. If you have any doubts about it just watch my video.

Did not expect much, but once plugged in to a high quality BOSE amp the sound produced was great and crisp. Used mostly for singing with a small band. I thought it was good value for the cost. Also appreciated the long cord that came with it. Not bad for first time microphone buying.

We received this microphone for a party and was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it was. It had a nice weight to it when held.

Works really great. We use it for karaoke. Bought second one within a month.
