Works with normal household water pressure!
We're in Houston, TX. They say it's high humidity here, but it's not really... as temperature climbs, relative humidity drops, per the psychrometric chart. A hot day will be anywhere from 20% to 50% relative humidity.I finally got our RO unit built (pro-tip: watch your NPT thread sizes... the sizing scheme doesn't make a lot of sense. For instance, one of the fittings I needed had a measured thread diameter of 3/8", but I had to order a 1/8" NPT to get a 3/8" thread diameter {shakes head}) and the misters set up.I bought a pre-built mister setup, since it was cheaper than buying all the separate parts. Then I disassembled it to build the mister system the way I wanted.Anyway, these mister heads are great.First, they fit your standard mister body thread size, just unscrew the cheap brass ones and screw in these.Second, they have the little 0-ring to prevent leakage.Third, the mist is very fine, I've got the mister heads about 5' off the ground on long stakes, and the mist evaporates before it hits the ground. It's so fine that after it comes out of the mister, it drifts upward (moist air is more buoyant than dry air). Only on a relatively cool night does any water reach the ground (I've been running it 24/7 just to test) because relative humidity goes up at night, so less of the water evaporates.Fourth, these mister heads work with normal household water pressure, even after the water goes through a 40 µm filter, a 20 µm filter, a 1 µm filter, the RO filter, then an activated charcoal filter. I didn't think they'd spray very good, but they do. It's a very tight spray pattern, if there's no breeze it'll reach about 4'-6' horizontally from the mister before the water evaporates. I had to stand in the spray for about 5 minutes before my glasses got misted up even a little bit, and even then after the water evaporated, there were no mineral deposits.Anyway, we're slowly adding misters and testing the system to see how much it'll cool the air. Even on 100 F days, we haven't run the A/C. Indoor temperature gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the rest of the time it's comfortable. I think it'll improve as we add more mister heads. We've only got 8 misters running right now, clustered in a small dogleg of the fenced back yard where we're drawing air into the house via a box fan. I think by the time we get another 8 added, it'll be comfortable all the time.So rather than consuming 7.2 kW on the A/C unit, we're expending ~4 GPH worth of water and 55 W for the box fan. Well worth it, the entire RO / mister system will pay for itself in a few months.

From Dry & Hot to Cool Breezes
I don’t usually leave reviews, but, if you’re looking to set up a misting system, it’s probably because you really need it. I live in the desert and it seems some days, no amount of air conditioning will keep this place cool. It’s just hot enough to kill everything outside, and dry. Very, very dry. After roasting last summer, I spent all winter looking for ways to solve this problem. I discovered these misting systems and thought it was cheap enough to try. The kit I bought came with nozzles that got my whole porch wet, no bueno. I needed something that puts out a finer, fog-like mist. This would keep the porch dry, use less water, and provide a cool breeze on the really hot days. I was skeptical of buying these, but being made of solid stainless steel, i figured it was worth a try. So I changed out a few of the brass ones for these, and fired up the hose. Wow! Under the nozzles I had tightened all the way, a fine mist was being produced, and the porch surface was dry! The rest of them were leaking, so I tightened all of them with pliers (save your fingers and use pliers, I gave myself a blister doing some of them by hand). I double checked every single one was on tight, and once again turned on the hose. I gotta say I am impressed with these! I have 20 nozzles on a line maybe 80 feet long, and zero leaks. Just fine mist and oh so cool breezes. It’s heavenly. These produce more of a fog type mist, which leaves my porch dry. It creates a large, cool area on the front of my house that is so nice and cool, I opened the windows and turned the ac off. The mist keeps the air cool, keeps dust down, the air feels fresh and clean, and keeps flying insects away. I was kind of bummed because I bought the misting kit for $40, plus another $20 for these nozzles, plus the time putting it up, but wow it is so worth it! Now I have a huge, cooled porch just in time for summer. If you are hunting for the best misting nozzles to keep cool this summer, you have found them. These are the ones you want to get. They use half the water of the brass ones. My entire porch uses 10 gal per hour, and is easily 25 degrees cooler. These things are absolutely worth it!

Better QC than the brass nozzles
There's not a reason why the brass nozzles can't have better quality than they do - the actual nozzles in them are stainless inserts, yet, they somehow are worse. I think perhaps the orifice is deformed when they install them in the brass ones. But these are better and they all worked for me out of the bag, and I feel a lot better about soaking them in muriatic acid when they inevitably clog with our crusty water.

I love these!
This is by far the best nozzle we've ever purchased! The spray on them has this 'bubble' per se that creates a super fine mist. No puddles - yay! They appear to be easier to clean then the brass ones, when the need arises, which it inevitably will.I'll purchase again, for sure!

Excellent product
I'm 1st I'm doing this on my TV with voice so some of the words are getting misinterpreted but I wanna say that I bought these along with the same company brand extenders and what a difference it is made on my back deck the misters are putting out more missing anything I've used in the past and the extenders are allowing me to aim it where I want all and all it's making for a great cool summer on my back deck!

more reliable than the ones i replaced
I bought these because the brass nozzles that came with a misting set I bought were abou80% failures out of the box. they seem to be designed for much higher water pressure.. I put these in and about 90% worked perfectly. they must have a bigger hole because they also seem to put out a lot more water, too.

WORK GREAT!
They were easy to install. The output of mist is perfect, with no leakage. They were the perfect addition to our pergola.
