Berkley Choppo Fishing Hard Bait

Fished these a few times and they work great. Caught some nice smallmouth and largemouths. Plus a huge northern pike.

I love this bait. I would put it in the category of a cross between a buzz bait and a folding crank bait. It's great because you get the action of a buzz bait but when you stop cranking, the lure just sits there and floats there like a floating crank bait. When I saw this lurer on a fishing show I loved the action it has I knew if I bought it I would catch fish on it so...I bought 2 of these Chopo baits... 1 is the 1/2 Oz75 mm size size lure and the se one I bought is the size above this 1/2 Oz size. I have not yet tried the larger size yet for the reason that the water is just starting to warm up and in the earlier season I feel smaller baits get hits more. I have the best luck water depth of 3 ft to 6 foot approx. And the best spots in that dept have rock stumps or weeds submerged. Cast this lure out and stop the cranking after 3 to 5 cranks...then crank 2 cranks then stop...let lure sit there and repeat ...and wait for the strike the bass 9 times out of 10 in my experience don't hit it on a steady retrieve but they hit the lure when you stop the bait so make sure to pause. Great bait buy it you won't regret it. Just cast it over and around submerged structure and wait for the strike !!!!

Loving this Choppo lure. I went with the larger lure initially, not knowing how'd I'd like this style of top water, and the hits are so crazy that I'm ordering the 1/2 Oz as well.This thing casts like a dream and makes the fishy girls scream.My only complaint!Any weeds get on the tail or back treble and it's gonna get wonky on you. It's a little sensitive back there.

I’ve caught at least one fish on this lure every outing I used it. Doesn’t get as many bites as a senko or a creature bait, and it doesn’t land every fish that strikes, but it’s so much fun seeing the fish hit it. I’ve only had it a month or so, but I’ve had no durability issues. Planning on buying one in every color.

Fall fishing for bass this should be your go to nice casting smooth reeling and the bass can’t resist high quality with decent hooks

This is a great lure for hungry bass. It lookw great cutting through the water and requires very little human aid to look attractive to a mommy bass!

Not only was the price $5 lower than in store (which was great for me) I thought I was buying one! When 3 came in I was blown back by how low the price was for 3. I am extremely satisfied and I would definitely buy this product again!

Thing works mint. Run er on braided line so you don’t lose a lure worth a 12 pack.
