I have recently bought a ton of books on healing, and this is one of my favorite ones.I think the author is amazing--He talks about personal stories and testimonies that really give you insight into the every day experiences of a supernatural life! He not only demonstrates how he prays for healing, but also how he teaches those he prayed for to keep the healing. I've been learning a lot by his example because they seem applicable and realistic. I love his courage and boldness to pray for healing during his work place, but also the incredible faith and compassion he shows throughout it all.Other books on healing gives a lot of theological background, the concept of healing, that mostly has a feel for more of a "self-help" or "self-guide" book. But because this book is more of a series of personal stories, I think it's more engaging and also gave me a greater understanding of how to pray for healing rather than other books. I think both are needed, one to get a good understanding of the theology and biblical basis for healing, but the other to see how God really does work through supernatural healing and how He can use anyone for it!I highly recommend anyone who has an interest in healing to give this a try. This book has made me both laugh and cry at times. Most of the times I'm reading it, I really feel God speaking to me through this book.

Basically a collection of short accounts of the author's encounters with God and with others. The Praying Medic is incredibly honest, relating his failures, frustrations, joys, and successes. The writing itself is ordinary, but the stories he relates are examples of everyday life wonderfully impacted by supernatural acts of healing and care. The Praying Medic shows that modern society, including most of the church, has it all wrong -- miracles are not some rare, magical, dangerous display -- they are frequent, private, intimate acts of our creator telling us that he loves us. All believers in Jesus can participate; they just have to start the journey. Reading this book is a good way to start.

This book continues on where this author's last one left off - but it is still sufficiently substantial to be a stand-alone-great-book. The stories keep coming - one after another - each one greater and more beautiful. The author truly tells enough of his insight and techniques to get anybody started in healing strangers and friends.

Every Christian should have this book. The Praying Medic's first book was a good one to read first. It was "Divine Healing Made Simple." It told a lot more about healing. This latest one is all cases in which the techniques were used to heal. I couldn't put it down. One thing I would like to say to the Praying Medic is to get someone to edit the book before publishing it. The punctuation needs a lot of work all the way through. It is mostly the same thing...a comma after Nominative of Address. Example: Praying Medic, I can hardly wait for your next volume.

This book explains a great deal about how God heals, and when, how to keep your healing, and how God uses whomever he chooses--often the last person you'd think would be used. It's written in very readable prose, and is hard to put down. I read it in a couple days, then loaned it to my sister, who read it in one day. Hayes' accounts are believable and what he learns and shares with his readers sticks with you. I highly recommend this book and its sequels.

I found a little extra time on my hands so I was excited to be able to finish reading, My Craziest Adventures with God - Volume 1, and I'm so glad I did. The book is aptly named craziest. Praying Medic is sharing with us what it looks like to take God at His word and simply do what He says. The result of that boldness shows up in every adventure. This is the kind of stuff that usually scares the heck out of me and yet makes my faith rise because I see how God uses one ordinary man to do extraordinary things. And God does it through love and compassion because that is what we all need.One thing that stood out the most for me in these stories was that Praying Medic genuinely cares for and honors each patient he prays for. I could feel it in each prayer he prayed and every hug that was given; love always makes a way when things seem impossible.Praying Medic shows us how simple it can be to step out in faith and simply ask if someone wants to be healed through story after story. If you love God stories and testimonies.......you have found the right book.

I hadn't finished the third chapter before I needed to get up and run around the house a few times. This book had so revved me up that I had to run, I had to shout, I had to do SOMEthing!I'm a great fan of testimonies ("This is what God did!), and this book is thick with excellent testimonies. But they're not just naked testimonies: they're wrapped in the lives of real people, real situations, who learn real lessons along the way, and that helps me learn from them!

This is the first book of Praying Medic's that I've read and I know it's not going to be the last.It comprises of short bite size chapters taken from his journal as he was learning to step out in obedience to God in the realm of praying for the sick in his ambulance.The stories are so encouraging even when everything doesn't quite go as he hopes and this book will certainly fill you with faith. Some of the entries have a little bit of teaching so this could be used as a devotional.I would have loved to have seen more of his "unsuccessful" first attempts as I know that there is always a journey in operating in the gifts - but I suspect this may be covered in his other books.

The Praying Medic is a truly remarkable and gifted healer. Even more remarkable is his primary objective is for the person to experience the love of God and the power of the spirit, healings are the icing on the cake! Easy to read this book has made Mr hungry for more of the Praying Medic so I'd better make a start on volume 2!

I loved this book, by a man who dared take the risk of faith. It is quite short and difficult to put down. The author does not disguise his own mistakes and misgivings and one feels that maybe one would be able to take the same risk of outrageous faith. Worth reading!

Very good reading

I have read many books on healing. This is a must have.
