A very guilty pleasure
I usually avoid books that are sexually graphic or that contain foul language, but I have to admit; I love all three of Nick Spalding's books that chronicle the romance, marriage, and all-around weird and outlandish adventures of Jamie and Laura Newman. I love romantic comedy, and these books deliver 100% in both categories. Save for this series, I can not say that I've ever laughed out loud while reading. Ever. As I read the latest installment this afternoon, my husband caught me flat out belly laughing six or seven times at least. I'm not a fan of bathroom humor, but good heavens, I never knew the bathroom could be so hilarious until Mr. Spalding described the unfortunate mishaps that the Newman's constantly find themselves in. The way that the narrative alternates each chapter back and forth between Jamie and Laura is brilliant. I really hope to hear more from the Newman's soon, however I hope I have the presence of mind to slip on a pair of Depends before downloading book four onto my kindle.

Love "The Love" Series!
In this, the third book of "The Love" series, I still "love" Nick Spalding's writing, humor, and the story of Jamie and Laura. My personal opinion is that this is a fictional story that is meant to be silly, entertaining and -- yes -- a bit ribald, which is something that I enjoy, depending on the story. That said, this type of humor isn't meant for everyone, and some may find the language/adult situations not to their taste. While I still enjoyed the story immensely, I do have one or two suggestions for the author. Again, just my personal opinion. First, I really missed not having a detailed description of Poppy to add to the enjoyment of what I was reading. What color is her hair, her eyes, her favorite dress? If those details were there, I may have missed them, but I felt that they would really add to the tale. Secondly, I thought that the extreme emotional reaction of a certain boss towards one of the characters was a bit out of the blue and kind of awkward for me to reconcile in comparison to the previous interactions between the two.In all, I recommend this book, and wish I had another to read!

Anguish in the Antipodes
This is a very poignant book. When the two poms - Laura and Jamie - land in Australia, they find a subtropical paradise, but also fina anguish. Without giving the plot away, I can say there are also some very humorous moments. A great read whether or not you have been down this path.

Hilarious
Another belly-achingly hilarious jaunt. Nick's story lines frequently have me in tears, struggling for breath and falling off the sofa!Yes, it's crude in places, bad language, sex etc etc - so if this kind of content offends you, well, you've been warned. Finally, a PS to the editors, please please please stop with the silly name changes for Asda etc, like I've said before, the American market for this book will soon work out that you mean a generic supermarket, so no need for sticking Walmart or Target in there.Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Highly recommended
I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end, although it is my "once in a while" genre that I read. There is always some scepticismfrom me as soon as a hear a story described as hilarious! Often my sense of humour does not relate well to an author that tries too hard to be FUNNY AT ALL COST !!This book has the perfect blend of well developed characters and events that everyone can relate to...........even feel yourself cringing at the embarrasing circumstances they are dogged by.Well worth it to read all four books in the series.

Amusing! Good for some hearty chuckles.
Lighthearted take on marriage and the trials of young parenthood. Helps to have read the first two books in this series, but this one is the best by far.

A move down under
This book picks up 2 years after the last one. Time and the economy have not been kind to Jamie and Laura so when a dream job opportunity comes up for Laura the family moves to Australia to start over. Distance, critters and joblessness test their marriage as the humble their way through more ridiculous situations. Read only if you've read and enjoyed the first two books.

Nick Spalding does it again!
I must have been asleep or something for the last few months or so as I had no idea there was a third "Love..." story out until I stumbled on this by chance a few days ago. I had high hopes for this one, as I had loved and still remembered the plots for the first two, and it lived up to all expectations. The story picks up three years after "Love... and Sleepless Nights", which has seen Jamie and Laura fall into a set pattern in life trying to support their intelligent three-year-old daughter, so when Laura is offered a job abroad, it sets them on a new adventure. There's plenty of laughs in all chapters - you really have to wonder how all these things can happen to one family, but they can equally happen to you or someone you know. It is laugh-out-loud funny - I did get some strange looks from my colleagues while I was reading this on my lunch breaks. The timing is brilliant too - just as you think it's all going to go well and then comes the funny part. But there is also a serious issue for them to deal with, understandable with all the changes they've faced, and it adds a new dimension to the characters. If you've read "Love... From Both Sides" and "Love... and Sleepless Nights", then this is highly recommended reading. If you have not read the first two books, then it is not essential to have read the first two, as you pick it up quite quickly and there's few references to the first two stories, although you would have a better understanding of the characters if you did read them. Besides, why read one funny book when you can read three?A brilliant story which only took a couple of days to complete and had a feel-good factor. Nick Spalding has pulled another one out of the bag. Five stars every day of the week.

A heartwarming, funny book.
A very heart warming story as part 3 of the Love... Series. I have never laughed so much at reading some of the stories in this book. It is very true to life of raising children, being married and having to grow up. It's a hard transition and he explains it in the great wit that is in every Nick Spalding book i have read so far. His descriptions of the area make you feel like you are there, and some of the capers are downright hilarious. This was by far the funniest of the series and i had to stifle laughter as i was reading in bed with hubby beside me. A few times i had to leave the room from laughing so hard. Such a great writer. Cant wait to see what comes next.

Good but not as good!
Got all excited when I discovered Nick had written another book and couldnt wait to download to my kindle. Laura Jamie and Poppy are emigrating to the other side of the world and this book is the usual trials and tribulations of their day to day life. My god the Newman family certainly manage to get themselves in some funny old situations and although I enjoyed reading I didnt find it as LOL funny as the other two books. Still funny.... Poo and cling film comes to mind but that may be my childish sense of humour. Maybe Nick Spalding has made my expectations too high. Still a really good funny read and cant wait for the next one!
