A DOPE OWNER NEEDS A DOPE BOTTLE
THE FOLLOWING ARE WHAT A PERFECT WATER BOTTLE SHOULD ENTAIL. I'LL BEGIN WITH WHAT THE EMBRAVA DOESN'T HAVE, THEN FOLLOW WITH WHAT IT DOES HAVE. WITHOUT FURTHER ADO:CONS:- No Insulation - Water will stay cold for about an hour at best after taking it out of refrigeration.- Wiggly Lid - When you open the lid, you can move it side to side. Basically, it wiggles laterally. I wish the hinges were firmly set, but there may be a functional reason for the wiggliness. I don't want to be an ignorant consumer who unwittingly criticizes a feature that may very well have a very good reason for existing, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.- Small Size - This bottle is too small for me; you should be drinking 2 liters of water everyday, meaning you need to drink 3.7 of these water bottles. Ain't nobody got time to refill this 3 times a day. This is the biggest con for me.PROS:- NEVER LEAKS (10/10) - This is obviously the most important attribute a water bottle needs. They essentially have one job... to hold water lol. My first water bottle, which I had spent hours researching for, was the beautiful Kor One BPA Free 750ml Water Bottle, and I immediately fell in love with it upon receival... until three hours later, when I opened my backpack to find 700 mL of water literally sloshing around at the bottom, creating a nice little swimming pool for my calculator and notes (which took hours upon hours to write). I was enraged, ofc, but the Kor One was so physically beautiful that I couldn't help but give it a second chance... sounds kinda like guys with women lol. Anyways, this happened again 3 more times within a couple months, after which I decided that no boot- er, bottle was worth that much trouble. So I dumped her, and began my hours-long search once more, keeping in mind that function > form, and that's a life lesson right there. However keep in mind that I am a college student who's pretty rough with my backpack and consequently its contents; if your bottle is going to be upright most of the times, the importance of a foolproof latch is probably less relevant to you. Anyways, my point is, the Embrava has not one but TWO locking features (the lid clicks closed, then you latch the lid to the bottle), ensuring that no further errant swimming pools are installed in my backpack. Also, another feature that made me pick the Embrava is the material of the latch itself; most if not all the other bottles with similar latching features have super thin metal latches, which I feel will rust rather quickly as I wash the bottle often, and rust is super ugly. Which conveniently brings us to the next positive:- AESTHETICS (8/10) - Now, while the Embrava is a looker, it lacks the sort of beauty that breaks necks. The Kor One had that sort of beauty, but it was also useless as a bottle; like the girl who looks aesthetically flawless but has utterly no life skills and lives to marry some rich guy. I would much rather have the girl who's kinda cute not perfect, but is balanced, competent, and can handle her own sh-t. The sides of the container portion itself is made of a velvety material that I really love (another criteria for my bottle was that it does not have stainless steel because I hate how it feels when you scratch your nails on it). The final feather as I was teetering on the edge of is-she-hot-I-can't-tell was the label "Fortune Favors the Brave"; I like labeling a lot, but ONLY when what's written is really dope, and that's a pretty dope line.- EASY TO CLEAN (9/10) - Embrava is pretty simple to clean, there're no weird parts like those of Camelbak that acquire mold. You just take it apart and rinse away (not sure if it's dishwasher friendly, but washing by hand takes like 10 seconds anyway). However I've read other reviews where the little rubber piece has fallen out during washing; I've never encountered it, but seems like it's a thing. I took a point off for that, but you can honestly just stick it right back in super easily.Anyways that's my review for this. I've spent hours and hours researching for a water bottle that specifically met my needs; my consensus for this bottle is that while a bit small, it's the best in the game at doing its job: holding water (I say best because even most of the screw-lid-on bottles which seem impregnable have been reported to leak), and it looks dope enough to represent me throughout my day. Thanks for reading!

Still going strong after 1.5 years - Great slim water bottle for everyday use
<b>*Updated after 1.5 years of use: </b>I've been using this grey water bottle for about a year and a half, everyday. I use this bottle at home and bring it with me everywhere I go. It is fairly lightweight and has a slim design, so it's easy to carry around. At first, I didn't think the wrist strap would make a very big difference...but it does. It is so much easier to carry this water bottle using the wrist strap! I would definitely recommend it if you are planning on carrying the bottle by hand. The water bottle is still in good condition, with only a few scuff marks on the outside of the bottle. So, the frosty finish does not seem to rub off or get scuffed very easily. The cap lock is still working fine. I only had one time when the bottle leaked, but it was my fault--I accidentally closed the cap on top of the wrist strap, which left a gap that let the water out. Another good thing about the cap is that I don't have to worry about the mouthpiece getting dirty/exposed to germs. There are times when I see people dropping their water bottles on the ground...with straw mouthpiece getting dirty. No need to worry about that with this bottle. However, for those who wear lip balm, lip gloss, or lip stick, it might build up on the mouthpiece. So it's necessary to wash the cap every now and then. When I first wrote this review, I said "Overall, I don't regret the purchase at all. The amount of use I get out of the bottle is worth the price." This still holds true after 1.5 years. I would gladly buy another bottle in a different color, but this one is still working just fine for me!Pros:-Slim size: Fits in my everyday bag and in my small car cup holder.-Wrist loop: A handy feature that makes it easier to carry the bottle.-No leaking so far-Cap shows no sign of breaking yet-Cap lock feature is good for when I put my bottle in my purse.-Good for being on-the-go: the cap protects the mouthpiece and prevents leaking. The wrist strap makes it easy to carry. And the slim size makes it easy to bring along.-Looks good: I really like the frosted look, which not only looks good but also feels good to the touch. There are a few scratches on the frosted exterior but overall, it's still in great condition.-Long-lasting.Cons:-Not as easy to clean as some other resusable water bottles.-Small size = refilling more often. If I'm out all day, I have to refill the water bottle a few times.-Wrist strap is not easily removable: According to the Q&A it can be removed, but the official instructions don't mention it. It would be a big plus if the wrist strap could be easily taken off, especially for washing.-For commuters who drive: It's not very convenient drinking from this bottle while driving because you have to fumble around with the cap. The lid will kinda get in the way of your line of vision--but it's clear, so it won't totally obstruct your view because you can see through it.-Cap makes a distinct sound when opening/closing. When I'm in class the clicking sound can obviously be heard when I'm closing my water bottle. Not a big con, but I'd like to drink my water discretely.
