Chemistry: The Central Science

This is a wonderful book, and I'm halfway through it. We used it for my Chem 1 and Chem 2 class, and being able to find the book at an affordable price with fast and cheap shipping was a godsend for someone who doesn't get financial aid.There are tips on how to remember things throughout the book, as well as practice problems, and comprehension testers to see if you recall important information throughout the chapter.I may or may not be biased, as a chem major, so keep that in mind, and think what you will, but I found most of the book to be an easy read and wonderful at explaining things I never understood before.

This is a really good textbook if you are taking Chemistry for the first time. Very well organized and it gives extra information that other popular textbooks don't supply. For they are written as if you have had chemistry class before. I really enjoy these Authors. The book arrived in excellent condition. Very pleased. Highly suggest this book.

The book is laid out in the normal sequence providing the learner with a good foundation. The chapter questions are well written and are challenging however, the answers provided help determine progress. In comparison, this book is very similar to the later editions with minor variations.

This is a great chemistry book - it even has lots of quantum information which of course is what makes the world go 'round

Excellent Book for those of us not majoring in Chemistry! I failed at my first attempt and took Chemistry 2 at another school which used this particular text. I aced the course and earned an "A". I think this book really helped.

Spine was very fragile and fell off. I couldn't resell after so now I have a text book I may try to donate since I don't need it anymore. Was not good quality but the pages inside were good.
