I bought this tool for something it’s not really intended for and figured I’d render it as useless once I was done with the task. It’s still in new condition even after the abuse I put it through. There may be other chisels that look like this one but I would definitely go with this brand.

Using this chisel to remove 500 sq. feet of ceramic tile glued down with mastic to a plywood subfloor. Tremendous adhesion of the mastic makes this job arduous. After trying several other unsuccessful methods, I resorted to a pneumatic hammer and this chisel. I was a bit concerned about this chisel mushrooming inside the hammer, so I checked it periodically and no sign whatsoever of any mushrooming as reported by couple reviewers. Very happy with the performance of this chisel for this next to impossible task.

USE 2 INCH CHISEL FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS, WHEN I TRIED REMOVE CHISEL IT WAS STUCK, IT MUSHROOM A LITTLE BIT ON SHANK, HOWEVER I DID REMOVE WITH COUPLE OF HARD TAP HITS, I'D GRIND IT WITH CHAMFER ON SHANK PROBLEM SOLVE, I'LL BUY IT AGAIN...

Used for several hours. Still sharp and read to go.

I ordered two, and both showed up with the chisel end well corroded. Since the oxide wouldn't clean up, I blasted, cold blued, and even sat them in way oil. Drenched in oil in a dry workspace with dehumidifiers, hygrometers, and clean storage they still rusted over again without use.

This worked great to remove the sealant on an RV roof, and it worked great to seperate the corner trim away from the roof of the RV.I used with a cheap kolbalt air chisel.Only downside was that it quickly dulled when running into screws, but i was back in business with some careful sharpening.I will also note that it did not deform much when hitting screws, and overall it did very well with the task.It took a project that was taking days into just a few hours!

I’m a contractor of 30 years and I have to say that this little bit is awesome. Paired with an air hammer and this chisel I managed to remove over 500 square feet of ceramic tiles in about 4 hrs. Don’t hesitate buy it.
