Massive press, over built, this will last several lifetimes!
I have been loading for 35 years. My first press was an RCBS Rockchucker. I added the original Piggyback, and later upgraded to the Piggyback 2. I have loaded over 100,000 rounds. I bought the Pro 2000 because I wanted to load longer cartridge cases on a progressive. This is an incredible product, and will load for a lifetime of service. I had it set up in about an hour including reading all of the instructions. I did the setup on my first caliber, 270 Winchester. After setup, I was up and loading. I cranked out 100 rounds in about 15 minutes, including random powder checks. I am very happy with this press, it is massive and dwarfs my Rockchucker! I have both of them set up on my bench, and I am very happy with them both.

Jamming issues, too time consuming for serious press
Although this reloading press does have some very good features (primer removal & collection, ability to have rapid switch out of all caliber-specific dies, general speed, etc), its APS primer system is very clunky and too problematic for a serious reloader. Setting up the press and adjusting to a new load environment will take many hours and fine tuning your loading process has a medium timed learning curve. The APS system is just not viable. Too many damaged primers, too often the plastic strip is crushed or bent by misfeed and then removing the strip is a time consuming hassle. In my opinion, the APS system is so bad that it ruins all the other good features. I could never recommend this press and would never use it again.

Set up this press and its always something. First ...
Set up this press and its always something. First the auto primer feeding system would misfeed primers, I was having primers fall into the cracks of the machine, just a pain in the ass. Next I'm having problems with the auto indexing system. If I tighten the bolt it wont advance. if its slightly loose it works itself too loose. I called customer service 3 x was on hold over 10 minutes. They want to send me a different shoulder bolt but since I live in NY it will take 15 days!! Sorry to say this is a piece of junk. Going to un bolt it and get a Dillon.

Primer system is horrible.
I have owned this press for 8 years. The press is built like a tank and should last a very long time. I've reloaded 1,000's of rounds with this press and for the most part...really like it. The one thing that irritates me and would constantly screws up, is the primer feed. It's horrible. I don't know how else to describe it. Sometimes it would prime 50 or more cases before it jammed, sometimes it would jam 10 times in less than 50 cases. I now hand prime everything and can reload 100 rounds in minutes. If it wasn't for the primer system, I would rate the press higher and highly recommend it. Customer service was awesome when I first purchased the press. Anytime something would need replaced I would send them an email and parts would be on the way. The last couple of years...customer service has been horrible. They respond to emails and tell you that the parts are on the way, but I've been waiting a little over two years for a primer plug assembly. Not sure who owns RCBS anymore, but the customer service appears to have shifted in the wrong direction.

had some initial issues and i almost gave up on mine.....but now i like it
initially i had lots of issues with this press...gave up on it and did not use it for over a year, put it back into use and now works great, still have not gotten used to the abs priming system so only 4 stars ,if i can get the priming system to work consiatently well then i will give it 5 stars because once its set up its pretty fast 250 rounds an hour or more is easy

Auto Indexing RCBS Press
I purchased this machine based upon past good experiences with RCBS products and with extremely good experiences with their technical service folks. My first press was an RCBS "Rock Chucker" ~ then a "Green Machine" ~ then a "Piggyback I (later upgraded to a II) ~ and now the Pro 2000.From my first purchase over 40 years ago, I have found RCBS products (the full line) to be extremely durable and constructed to the highest manufacturing standards. No, I don't work for RCBS ~ nor do I know anyone who does. And, yes, I do own other manufacturer's equipment. So, with all considerations made, I fall solidly in the RCBS camp.

but pathetic in
Embarrassed to own this machine. Several cons in engineering and performanceA.) Never have the shell plate mounting bolt thread clockwise and have the machine progress counterclockwise. The bolt unthreads after 8 operations. That's beyond rookie mistakes.B.) The auto indexer is indexed via an extremely small needle that operates on inertia and has promptly shattered after 150 bullets. Too gentle the shell plate stops mid rotation.C.) For a highly coordinated machine with many moving parts needing to work in unison, Loctite would definitely improve the many bolts I've retightened.Overall, the concept is decent, but pathetic in design
