Works for data transfer but not as good for charging
I bought this to use in our Tesla Model 3 so that I could leave both phone charging cables connected but still connect a USB flash drive for the Tesla Dash Cam. It works and the dash cam is enabled and data can be recorded to the flash drive but I was hoping the USB 3 port out the top would provide the USB 3 amount of power out of that port for connecting the phone charging cable to. It supplies power but not at the USB 3 limit like I was getting directly out of the Model 3 port. So it does still charge the phones but not at the same rate that it would directly from the Model 3 port. I'm planning on putting some music files on another flash drive to connect for music playback in the car. I expect that to work just fine much as the dash cam can record to the currently attached flash drive.

This USB Hub splitter plug works!
I tried three USB splitter/Hubs and this is the one that worked. It worked the first time with no problems on a Windows10 Tablet and connected as a generic USB Hub. I was able to connect a mouse and a camera to the tablet. It looses a star because the connectors are sensitive to movement and occasionally will cause a peripheral to disconnect/reconnect.Update: They saw my review and contacted me immediately. They said that they have sent me a replacement. I have received the replacement and it works fine. They have excellent support and a good product, so I raised the rating to 5 stars.

It does what I want.
I have my splitter installed in the rearmost right hand USB 3.0 port on my laptop by plugging it into a USB right angle adapter so the USB 2.0 ports point to the rear. This keeps my USB 2.0 connections tucked close to the side of the computer where they will not interfere with my mouse. I'm currently using only one USB 2.0 port but eventually I'll will either use the other USB 2.0 port or the USB 3.0 port for a Yubi Key in the future. The latter was my primary reason for buying this splitter. The splitter fits snugly in the right angle adapter with very little wiggle. The ports in the adapter are currently very tight, enough so that I have to use one hand on the splitter and the other on a plug or USB thumb drive to remove the plug or drive. This is actually good because whatever is plugged in will not accidentally pull out now and will still hold securely in the future after wearing from numerous insertions. The adapter comes with a nice lanyard (I don't know why anyone would want to use it with the adapter) and a small, self-adhesive, dense foam rubber pad that can be stuck to the bottom of the adapter to keep cables from pulling down on the adapter and possibly breaking the adapter or the port it is plugged into. My laptop is a workstation model that is quite a bit thicker than most laptops so the pad is too thin for it. I'll have to shim the pad to be able to use it but I haven't bothered yet.Since computer products tend to disappear fairly quickly, I've ordered two more of these for spares. Since some people have reported problems with theirs, I'll be sure to check them out before putting them away.

Poor quality - USB plug not properly soldered
Was using this on a laptop to increase the number of USB ports. There was 2 cables plugged into the back (was not using the top USB3 port) and it wiggled quite a bit. Then after a while the plastic that housed the USB plug split which then revealed the circuit board. I went to snap it back together (which already was poor) and the plug itself was wiggling. Looked at how the usb plug was attached to the internal circuit board and it looks like the solder was not properly done. Only one side of the plug had solder (should have been soldered on both sides). In the end, I am glad that it held on by the one solder otherwise it could have broke off with it in my computer while it was out and could have caused a short and burned my USB port out. Great idea but bad execution.Update - Upon reading my review, Onvian contacted me and offered either a refund or replacement of the product. I opted for the refund. Increasing my review to 4 stars from 1 as their customer service provided a resolution to the problem.

Does the Trick in Tesla Model 3
I have a Nomad wireless charging pad requiring two USB ports for charging two phones. I also wanted USB ports for memory sticks, one for recording the dashcam and one for storing my music collection. This USB 3-way splitter did trick for me. I have both the Nomad USB cords and the dashcam memory stick plugged in and they all work great. The music USB stick goes into the other onboard USB port. My phone charges as fast as if directly plugged into the car, and the dashcam stick is recording dashcam video. So this splitter is perfect for a Tesla Model 3.

Excellent small and versatile
I m using this USB hub/splitter in my Tesla Model 3 to allow charging while using a USB stick for Music and one for the front facing driving camera. All seems to be working perfectly and the hub is small enough to fit nicely in the car USB port. It's perfect for my use.

Bad design, poor quality
Already falling apart and losing connection. Not a good design, get something with horizontal ports. The vertical stack ports weigh it down when you connect all 3 extensions and pulls down on this ext port. Eventually causing it to have connection issues. Also this device is splitting in two, it wasn't sealed together very well.

Good money value USB hub
It has been working perfectly since the beginning.Material does look a little bit cheap but I see no issues in the performance whatsoever. You may notice the unit to warm up a little bit during extensive time-of-use especially if your connecting 3 USB drives on to it. But that to me should be normal due to the data load.Keep in mind though, that by accident you may hit it and damage it, because the way it extends from the computerIt's a very good value for such little money

Useless
Tried to use this to plug in my wireless mouse receiver along with my wired keyboard at work. With this set up my keyboard randomly gets stuck on a letter and rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrepeats it. Hard no.

A little bulky for laptops
Well made, works well with a USB flash drive, wireless mouse and side number keyboard all together. However, I wanted to use it with my laptop and the USB port I wanted to plug it in was on the left side, exactly where my "shift" and "Ctrl" keys are. Therefore too bulky to use in that port with the devices I had plugged in.Think of the USB port location before purchasing. I'll keep it for my desktop computer...

Sags when used with laptop stand
Unfortunately unsuitable to use with my laptop stand, since it sags slightly, so decided to stop using it - since I do not want to damage or stress the only USB port. This wouldn’t be an issue if my stand was fully flat. Too bad.
