They fit on my AD700's just fine, took some work, but they are nice and snug. They do transform the headphones from the over/on ear setup to a more closed soundstage since these earpads are very much in the "over ear" camp. The old ones sit on and around your ear and make everything sound light and ethereal. These narrow the soundstage quite a bit, but make things sound a bit heavier and punchier. Honestly, the sound quality is an improvement for what I use them for, but if you're a classical or jazz music snob, these ear cups might actually be a significant downgrade in audio quality.Comfort is solid. I did kind of have problems with the old AD700's putting pressure on my ears after 4 or 5 hours in my office, but these don't do that because they don't sit on the ear.

Fiddly to put on but not terribly difficult. I went with the velour for my 900x's and while very comfortable in general they tend to warm up after a while - on the other hand I am a human radiator and most closed cans do that on me. I do like the slight but noticeable change in sound with these pads vs. the stock pleather. Bass is warm yet punchy, mids are right upfront and the highs seem a bit brighter overall but I did not do a direct back-to-back comparison because the old ones had disintegrated. Soundstage seems relativey unaffected, maybe a little less open but it's hard to tell, could all be in my head lol. In any event, I am happy with the pads, especially for the price.

The included tool was not very useful for me. Instead, I used my fingers to push from the inside of the earcup. Get the plastic wrapping over the hard plastic lip of the earphone, hold it in place if your other hand, and keep working your way around the earphone. Once you get all the way around, that's it, like magic, it's stretched in place. Notice that the plastic wrapping is asymmetric, with a wider section meant to go over where the plastic lip is thickest on the earphones.I'm glad to replace my own earcups, which were gross. The earcups surround my ear, and the hard drivers are no longer pressing against my ears.

I was about to give up and toss these after struggling for 20 minutes. Then I tried something that worked. Before trying anything on the headphones, stretch the heck of of these pads first. I mean, really stretch them hard. Stretch them until you think they'll break.

You'll have to pull quite hard, but these replacement ear pads WILL fit on Audio Technica ATH-A700 headphones. And they're fine. They'll do.

Use to replace the pads of the OG Audio technica AD700 (not the X version) pads, headphones were over 10 years old. First change of pads.Pads are tight, just move around the cups slowly. They fit for my case.

My A700x pads started flaking and needed a replacement. Title says "AD700x" and I wasn't sure if that included the A700x (they more or less look the same), so took a chance and bought these.A little snug going on but work perfectly!

It didn’t fit well on A700, the cover is smaller. After I stretched the cover to almost its max, it still took two people to put it on. It’s about 1/4in smaller in diameter than original earpads

I bought those to replace earpads on my ATH-AD700X. The pads come with little tool to make the installation bit easier. Which really helped to get the pads on, especially around the headband area.As for the pads they feel really nice, soft yet firm, helping the headphones stay on more. The fabric feels very soft although bit on the warm side after prolong wear during summer. However even though they do get bit warm in summer they don't get sweaty or itchy.

Very pleased, the fit is spot on ang the sound quality is the same as the original pads .I fitted some xl pads to my a900x and it completely lost the bass. These pads are the same size as original.Highly recommend.

Fits, but was not easy to install the first ear pad :) second went easily

I bought these exactly a year ago due to replace the existing earpads for my ATH-A900X that started to disintegrate.After a year of daily use (12~ hours a day) these are still in brand new condition. I am really impressed with these. They are absolutely worth the 5 stars and have great outside noise isolation.

Leather feels great.Fits my ATH-A900’s but was an absolute battle to install. Would be 5 stars otherwise. The original pads are significantly easier to install.
