Quick and informative for kids. It could of gone into a little more detail but for the age group it's sufficient to relay a fundamental understanding of Thanksgiving.

Great illustrations. It is wordy but great as a read aloud.

We like that the story is told from the point of view of children. It helps to make a difficult subject approachable to the kids. There is a lot of text- it is a bit too long for my kids attention spans, and my own quite frankly! Love the illustrations!

Reading this to children age 4 and 6. Only a few pictures and the kids are trying to match the story with the pictures. It is ok for the 6 year old; too mature for the 4 year old. average book. I read about 40 books per month to the kids. this is meh.

We read this book slowly over a number of days, and found this book to be a lovely description of the first Thanksgiving celebrated in America. Wonderfully written and illustrated. Will read this one over and over each year.

A very old looking copy with pen marks passed on as new. Content is good. The Thanksgiving story children need to know.

Refers to all indigenous Native Americans as "Indians". Totally outdated and inaccurate. Belongs in the trash.
