In short, pretty darn good but not without some issues.Features and video quality are very good. The picture fills the mirror when on, and you can set the screen up to go off after 30 seconds and use it like a traditional mirror that has the added advantage of the widescreen back up camera for safety. Sweet. Unless you have a super dark tinted rear window (or perhaps a vehicle with an obstructed rear view) daytime reflections will wipe out the display, so a traditional mirror is better until you need that backup camera. Installation pretty straight forward, though if you've never pulled apart trim or panels on a car there's enough involved here that you should seek a friend with experience.There are some physical limitations. The mounting straps attached to the unit are very stiff, and when strapped with the included rubber bands the mounting straps curve and lift the unit off the car mirror's surface, and the unit then vibrates and shakes quite a bit. I found I needed to put some sharp bends in those stiff straps to get it to conform better and sit flat, and then it was pretty good. Realize too this unit adds a lot of mass to the end of that stalk that holds the car's original mirror; I found sharp bumps causes the whole thing to slip and angle down, requiring constant readjustment. That problem is not specific to this particular product - anything that attaches to the rearview mirror can cause the same problem. I compensated with a black rubber band up into the trim at the top of the windshield to take some weight, and it's no longer a problem.Last comment - I did have some issues with screen flickering on the first unit I received. I returned it and the replacement has been AOK.

This replaces (goes on top of) your rear view. You can use it as a video recorder and standard mirror, or you can attach the rear view camera and use it as a video rear view. If you have been bothered by poor visibility out the back window, the video rear view is wonderful as it is unobstructed. Running the cable through the car is pretty easy - you just tuck it behind the trim. I have not tried the backup camera function because I have a hatchback and the wire to connect to the reverse lights is too short. It should be fine for a sedan, van, or pickup. My only complaint is that the image on the video rearview is not quite bright enough for bright sunlight. I have it setup with the rearview in the low position and tilted far down (not an issue since it's a video). If I need to use it as a regular mirror (almost never), I can flip the rearview into the up position.

This is a very nice camera it’s very clear I like how you can move the screen up or down or side to side you could see someone perfect from the rear view . It records when it senses motion when your car is parked . The only thing that I don’t like is that the Sims card gets full very fast so you have to clear the Sims card daily and I had bought a really big Sims card to hold a lot of memory and sometimes the screen would get stuck when the Sims card was Full .

Very glitchy. Only works right when it doesn't rain for a couple days. Wont loop the video. Always says sd card full.Update...I have emailed the company Directtyteam and they have not responded in over 2 weeks now. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. WASTED MY MONEY HAVING THIS CHEAP REVERSE MIRROR INSTALLED ON MY TRUCK. LOOK ELSEWHERE

I bought this item because the reviews said it was easy to install. I thought I’d be able to do it by myself. But, it involves drilling and taking apart parts of the car I’m unfamiliar and uncomfortable with. I’ve tried asking mechanics and neighbors if they could help me, no one feels comfortable doing it. It’s just sitting at home, collecting dust since the return period closed. Plus, other people told me there are wireless ones I could’ve gotten that are “easier” to install.

Was happy with the product, but unfortunately it started acting up, not looping either 3 min or 5 min, formatted a few times, then worked, but went back to not looping.

I purchased the last mirror which did not come with instructions - so I don't know how to use some of its features. I have repeatedly reached out to the manufacturer and Amazon is not able to contact them either. So, if you purchase this product or any other from this manufacturer and have any support issues you will be out of luck. All I needed was an instruction manual....didn't think that was too much to ask.
