Thomas & FriendsWooden Railway, Musical Caboose - Battery Operated

Every Thomas & Friends viewer has to admit that the theme song, love it or hate it, is incredibly catchy and bouncy (and kids LOVE it, no matter how many times they've heard it). This wooden caboose plays that "They're 2, they're 4, they're 6, they're 8..." song by simply pressing the button in the middle of the top of the caboose. An important note: The song is instrumental only, NO words-- it's just the tune of the song. The volume of the music is ideal: loud enough to hear clearly but soft enough to not drive you insane. The wooden construction of the caboose is very strong and sturdy, and ours shows pretty much no wear and tear after over a year of having it (and trust me when I say it's had some rough treatment). The paint is all still intact, the magnets are still strong, and it still plays its merry tune just as well as it did the day we bought it. It is lightweight enough to be easily pulled by other magnetically attached cars and engines without coming apart all the time like some train accessories tend to do, but it's also heavy enough to stay on the tracks well, regardless of whether your tracks are official Thomas Wooden Railway tracks or off-brand tracks. This is one of my most highly recommend accessories to go with your Thomas Wooden Railway set.

Toys come and go at our house, except when it comes to trains. When our grandson was about two, we bought him a starter train track set,  Chuggington Wooden Railway Koko & Hodge's Clock Tower Set  and a very nice set of train pieces,  12 Pcs Wooden Engines & Train Cars Collection fits Thomas, Brio, Chuggington . Both were good choices, but they sparked an interest beyond belief. We recently bought him  Metropolis Train Table & Set , but the table and accessories just didn't seem complete without  Thomas Wooden Railway - Thomas The Tank Engine  and this musical caboose. The colorful wooden pieces are both well-made, and they magnetically match up with the Orbrium train pieces we already have. The musical caboose uses two AG13 (LR44) batteries, which are included. I have the feeling we'll slowly be adding more Thomas pieces to this setup, but for right now, these front/back choo-choo additions are helping make an exciting train table even more fun. By the way, our grandson plays with just these two pieces more than anything else on the train table--simply because Thomas is on the front of the engine and he loves hearing the musical caboose. A winning combination!

This is a very cute caboose and my son likes to dance when the music plays. He loves hearing the Thomas the Train theme song play. It looks great with our Melissa and Doug Wooden Railway Set and works well on the track. The sound quality is good, too. It's well made, and the button is easy for a two year old to push.Update...5 months later and the caboose is still sounding and looking great. It's had a lot of action, but it still sounds great and my son loves to dance to it!

My 3 year old nephew loved it, and it was easy to set up. Good price and nice and sturdy. Should last a long time.

This is an attractive little caboose that has a lot more detail than most other cabooses on the market atm. The original Thomas theme song plays with the push of a button, although it's just the melody without the vocals (thank goodness). It only plays the song once so you don't have to worry about the battery draining quickly. The magnets are strong and the paint job is superb. All in all a perfect caboose for train lovers of any age.

I thought it was too much money. The tune only played for 10 seconds. I felt it wasn't worth the money. The seller was very good about accepting the return.

My grandson loves the Thomas the Tank Engine musical caboose. It is brightly painted, realistic looking, and well constructed. I believe it will hold up to many hours of play. I like the magnetic connection that allows it to be connected to other railroad cars. It is a great gift for a young child.

This became the favorite wooden train car for an almost-2-year-old. Plays the familiar Thomas and Friends tune for a short while, which keeps interest up in the whole wooden train set. Not too loud, not as annoying as some other "noisemaker" toys.Wheels and body well made, stays on track even through ups and downs and twists and turns.

音楽が流れるのは珍しいので即買いしました。子供は大喜びで何度もスイッチ押しながら遊んでます。ただ、トーマスの音楽が最後の方のフレーズだけで短くすぐ終わってしまうのが残念です。

My 1 1/2 grandson loves this. He plays with this all the time and doesn't get on his parents nerve too much. Bought as add on to his starter Thomas set. Would recommend.
