Star Boy

After reading "The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses," which is Paul Goble's only award winning book that I know of, we have started collecting his books. We've found that all of them have been as beautiful illustrations and wonderful stories. I love the spirituality in these stories- they all have a very moving message about Creation and respect for the animals. The stories come from mid-West Native Americans.My 6 year olds love them and I've started giving them as gifts to some of my adult friends, as well. Illustrations are beautiful. They're simply beautiful.

It is hard to find children books that accurately and respectfully portray native culture. These books are our family favorite. My husband started buying these for our oldest when he was on a fire assignment on the Crow reservation. Now it is a Christmas tradition and very year we get one for each of our children.

Beautiful illustrations. The story might be a bit hard to follow for my 5 year old but he likes the pictures and I like broadening his exposure to other cultures’ stories.

I love this book. Had it as a child and was thrilled to find it again on Amazon!

Paul Goble is one of my favorite children's authors. This is a lovely book...nice story and beautifully illustrated. A perfect gift for a child.

Great for young kids and I still enjoy reading if after the 50th time.
