This product really WORKS!!!!
I know this will sound like a paid testimonial but it emphatically ISN'T -- I purchased this product a few days ago... Somewhere in middle-age I went from being a very quiet sleeper to a very loud snorer -- and it was driving my poor wife crazy! Nor can I blame her; on many nights she would get woken up repeatedly by me. I tried nose strips, my wife slept with earplugs -- nothing worked. In desperation, I'd read about these anti-snore mouthpieces so I thought I'd give it a try...and I wasn't very optimistic. After two nights I can report: this device works like a charm!!! My wife actually woke up this morning and said, "I can't believe the difference." She slept the entire night without my snoring waking her once. However, there are pros and cons:PROS - the device works very well, by sliding your lower jaw forward -- just a few millimeters (and it is adjustable) -- it clears the airway (as described in the video) and stops, or completely neutralizes, your snoring. You can even experiment on yourself while awake: If you are able to reproduce your "snore" while awake, thrust your jaw forward a bit and then try to make the same 'snoring' sound -- the vast majority of you will not be able to. The anti-snore device gently changes the airflow and architecture of your soft palette and eliminates the snore reflex. It absolutely WORKS!! That's the good news...The CONS - As you can see by the pictures, this is a LARGE device. I am an average-sized man and found it quite large in my mouth. Not unbearable, but large. Yes, the boil and fit technique works very well, so it is a very snug fit around your teeth and gums. But it will feel, at least in the beginning, very big in your mouth. Also, as other reviews noted, I did wake up after the first night with a sore jaw and teeth -- not horrible, but pronounced. It took a few hours to subside. The second night was much better, with less discomfort in the morning -- although I still had it.This device is the Anti-Snore PRO, their newest device. I gather they also sell the original Anti-Snore device which may be a bit smaller. I have contacted the company and I am hoping they are sending me the smaller model. While this device definitely WORKS I do not want it to somehow adversely affect my jaw or my bite. That said, after only two nights -- and on the lowest setting (pushing my lower jaw forward only a millimeter or two) -- I don't seem to be experiencing any significant discomfort. As this is a potential great device (if it was a bit smaller) I will update this review after I have used it a while longer. Bottom line, it WORKS -- but size matters.

but I was so sad when this product wasn't what I was hoping for
I don't leave feedback very often, but I was so sad when this product wasn't what I was hoping for. After being told I may have obstructive sleep apnea I started looking for something that may help while I wait for my next doctor's visit, and came across this product (not marketed as a cure or anything). When I got it the instructions are very clear, and the packaging is good. It says to boil water, drop the mouthpiece in for EXACTLY 90 seconds, then dip it in tap water to wash off the hot water, then set your teeth into it to make an impression for 30 seconds, then submerge it in tap water for 60 seconds to set the impression. I boiled water and set it in the water for exactly 90 seconds. When I started to take it out with the tongs it advises you to use in the instructions, the plastic sections which mold to your teeth had completely shifted, so it was no longer covering the whole top or the whole bottom of the mouthpiece but instead had come up in sections and clumped together. Also it stuck to the tongs which left plastic that hardened on the tongs as well and meant a little less plastic on the mouthpiece. I was so disappointed because I was really hoping this might help me feel more rested. I decided to try again, thinking that if the plastic is meant to be molded to your teeth, maybe I can somehow mold it back into position. So I repeated the steps. This time I made it all the way through the steps, and used a big metal spoon instead of the tongs. Same thing, the plastic was trying to stick to everything and was shifting around. I stuck with it and dipped it in the cool bowl of tap water I had set aside. The instructions say that the mouthpiece is made from materials that do not retain heat so it will not be hot at this point, which I found was not true. It was not unbearable pain but there was discomfort and the heat that was still left was enough to hurt towards the corners of my mouth and my actual teeth became very sensitive and were hurting. then I set it in the tap water for 60 seconds. The plastic had not gone completely back into its place. I could see how this may still be functional for someone, but it didn't even fit properly in my mouth. it was much too wide and vertically it did not fit over my teeth well. I can't rule out that there was somehow user error but I followed the instructions to a "T" twice.

Works very well, is comfortable
Follow initial instructions and you'll get a good fit, and then a good night's sleep. This thing really works, I'm surprised and happy with how effective it is. Stopped my snoring, frequent waking, and broken sleep pattern. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. Feels like my intake of air is much better while sleeping due to the design of this device. Yes, a little bit of dry mouth but you can deal with it. Also, I would suggest sleeping on a wedge pillow, they work great for head elevation, and in tandem with this mouth guard I'm having much improved nights sleeping.
