First I think it's worth mentioning that the watch arrived in 3 days internationally and only one day after getting a shipping confirm. from amazon, that was at an extra cost though still impressive.The watch is great and is one you'll enjoy the more you own it. I thought it would be larger ( not confusing it with auto version ) as it seemed bigger on wrists on photos though it has a more dressier case size than the auto versionThe best parts:-overall design / style and I love minutes on outside and hours on inside.- minute markers. They are brushed stainless steel and when they all catch the light the watch looks magnificent. Though can appear dark when this isn't the case- perfect amount of domeage. Just enough to not distract- case and lugs go from brushed to polished then brushed again. Craftmenship at it's finest.- thin bezel makes the dial seem bigger.- H Hamilton tang is always nice-Cons- wish it was a few mm bigger, 44 would be great- band is rather uninteresting... Not low quality just not very striking- no deployment... The watch should feature one for the price.

I was initially hesitant to get this watch. There were some bad reviews. I really wanted a watch with this type of face (based on airplane dials) so I decided to take a chance. I am really glad I did! The watch is very accurate. The hands line up to the minute and hour lines and I’ve had no issues. I have to admit it took me a while to figure out the multi-language day option, but once I did everything has been great. I can highly recommend this watch. BTW, I have never written a review before, but I didn’t want anyone else thinking about getting watch to not get it due to other reviews.

At this price point. This Hamilton will be hard to beat. It looks fantastic. Sapphire crystal, Swiss movement, good underwater to 660ft. Classic vintage styling. Love it. Fantastic watch.Update: Its been 3 years now and its a fantastic piece. Just had it serviced with a new battery. Perfect every day watch.

I first viewed this watch online. I love the retro look. I currently have a Raymond Weil Freelancer automatic and was looking for a daily use watch that was less dressy. Before ordering I went to a local retailer to look at it in person. All they had was the 46mm Automatic. It was great looking. I decided I wanted a quartz, because I didn't want the maintenance associated with automatic watches. Unfortunately, the nice smooth second hand that is on the automatic was not the same case on this quartz model. What really bothered me was the second hand did not line up with the face tics. (Deal Breaker) Maybe it was just the one I received, but it has lead me to stick with automatic movements. I put the watch on my wrist once and I could see that the band was not going to last very long. Just be prepared to get a new band in the near future. I think this is true for most Hamilton watches. I would expect a little better quality of material considering the reputation of the brand. They all seem to have the same type of leather band. Sadly I had to return it.

I have a watch fetish and have several other brands and models to compare this to. Overall, the quality of the watch itself and band (stitching, leather, etc.) are top-notch. My initial impression was a bit of disappointment: the watch wasn't quite as rich looking or heavy as the price suggested. Watches are, of course, highly subjective to personal preference. This is just my two cents. I do like the large minute numbers and think this is more practical than hourly numbers.

In reality, it's even better than in its Amazon presentation. Considering the price, I am amazed at the details and quality. The leather strap is OK, a rubber strap could be a better option. I have sent it to Amazon repair service, an inconvinience since I am not in the US, and I should get it back in a couple of weeks. I still think that it is a beautifoul watch, but I wander how a Hamilton can break down so.THIRD PARTOK, since I bought this watch, about six months ago, I was able to use it fo about 6 weeks. After just a week or so after I received it back from Amazon's service center, the seconds hands fell off, and the watch stopped. The service employee at Amazon was very apologetic and friendly and geve me a prepaied national UPS code for reshipping it to them, after I had told him I was NOT in the US, so I still have to pat 50 or so dollars on a 300 dollars watch to ship it back once more. Basically by now the price of my watch has increased by one third out of shipping costs due to an initially defective watch and a subsequently very poor repair by Amazon's service center. I miss the time in which Amazon was famous for it's customer service and refounded customers if their purchases were defective.Fourth capter (this is becoming a novel)The watch stopped again. I sent it is again but this time I dd not want it back. I called Amazon, and they told me that I should have asked for my money back after it had stopped the first time. I remember asking it at the time and they told me clearly that watches must be repaired not replaced or refounded. I called Swinford who takes care of repairs for Amazon. They told me they couod organize a buyback. That their manager would get in touch with me. I called back numerous times, no manager ever got in touch with me and after a few weeks the watch just arrived back, once again repaired when I had clearly stated that I did not want it anymore. I am wearing it now, but the magic is gone. I have had it for over a year and I have been able to use it for maybe 3 or 4 months. Just not worth it and thumbs down to both Amazon and Swinford, not to mention Hamilton of course.

Watch met with my expectation as the quality and finish are what I would expect from Hamilton. The hands hold their luminosity in the dark for a long time. Price was as quoted, but had to pay an additional $65. Delivery time was acceptable at just over two weeks.

I like this watch very much except that the belt of the watch is too tough which makes your wrist a little uncomfortable.
