Permatex01013 DL Blue Label Cream Hand Cleaner, 14 oz.

I'm a lady that's been a mechanic for 50 years. I believe this is the best hand cleaner on the market. When teaching Industrial Arts, the young ladies in the class would be willing to leave with paint on their hands before using this hand cleaner because it does have a rather disturbing odor.DL works great on grease, paint, and other nasty stuff such as tree pitch and splattered on road tar. A little bit of DL on a soft rag will remove pine pitch from your car with ease. Rub it into grease or paint strains on your clothes before putting them in the clothes washer and the majority of stains will be completely removed. Works best if it sits overnight before washing.Personally, I dislike pumice in my hand cleaner. I'm trying to wash the grease off my hands and not abrade it off. Used in quantity smooth Fast Orange works nearly as and it leaves your hands with a good clean smell.When visiting my mechanic friends, their wives always wanted to know how I got my hands clean and their husbands claimed they couldn't get their hands clean from ground in grease. There are two secrets. The first is to put a small amount of hand cleaner on your clean hands before starting work. Rub it all over your hands and scrape your fingernails in your palms to work the and cleaner under the nails then wipe off the excess. After work, use the hand cleaner on dry dirty hands and rub hand cleaner in very well and wipe off with a clean rag or paper towel. Then wash with soap and water and you will have fairly clean hands and most of the oder will disappear. You're not going to like the second secret. Wash the supper dishes with a grease cutting dish washing soap such as Dawn. Perfectly clean hands after doing that.

Great product that cleans well and washes off with water

I've always liked this "Blue Label" Permatex, the orange one has pumice which I don't want scratching things. After many years my little blue tub ran dry so I found it here on Amazon 2kg for $12 or about 4 times more product for about the same price as my little Walmart tub. AWESOME!The problem is that like so many of the low star ratings my tub basically exploded in transport and even with the second plastic bag it leaked everywhere. You can argue that Permatex needs to pack this better but it is 2kg of goo AND I'm pretty sure the problem was my Amazon delivery person who literally dropped it hard on my front steps.Amazon quickly sent me a replacement which I very much appreciate, and the reason I wanted to write this review is that the Permatex "Blue Label" waterless hand cleaners really is one of the best AND one of the best bangs for the buck. If you are someone looking for a great waterless hand cleaner this is an excellent choice. If you are worried about the low review score, just understand it's not because the product is bad. It's just a lot of product that gets handled too roughly.

The shipping box was oversized andwas obviously mishandled during shipment, as it was deformed. Upon opening it, the hand cleaner, not only was busted open, but entirely covered the inside of the box. I scooped it up with a large spoon and put it back in the container. I lost about half of the product as it was soaked into the cardboard, which I threw out. The actual hand cleaner is fine, it works great in cleaning my hands. This was just a packaging and shipping issue. I will order it again. Things happen.

Product was in box with no packaging to keep it from bouncing around. The lid of the container popped loose and spilled hand cleaner in the box. Fortunately the box was short enough to keep the lid from completely coming off.

What in the HE double toothpicks happened to the price of gojo? Admittedly, the last time I bought a bucket was back in the '90's but come on. This stuff works just as good for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended.

In the old days we had GoJo hand cleaner and this stuff is identical. Works great and is easy to use and wash off. Much easier on the hands than the pumice based cleaners in my experience.

First off, I just received this and it’s practically half empty. Yes, there’s some on the top but not a significant amount. I’m going to send it back in hopes of getting a properly filled one. Despite this I’m still going to give it 5 star unless the 2nd container comes back with a problem. I found this stuff a few years ago at a local parts store and what I liked was that it’s not water activated. At that time I lived in an apartment so I didn’t have a convenient water source by the lot and I didn’t want to deal with greasy hands on door knobs or possibly tracking grease in the apartment. So I got this and use it with a few paper towels and it really good.

Can’t say enough about this stuff, your hands are completely clean, smell nice, you just need a rag or paper towel to wipe it off, no water needed.
