Good quality and useful to store/display trains.
Bought this for my husband. (Bought him the N scale one last Christmas.) He loves it! Solid construction. Easy to hang on the wall. Door opens & closes smoothly. Keeps the trains safe, organized and free of dust. It's a nice way to display his train collection.

A great Product!
This is a beautiful piece of furniture and perfect for my HOn3 models. It came very well packaged to avoid any shipping damage. I not only like the construction, the finish, and the dimensions, but the lip on the shelves is an added feature. I'm adding HOn3 track and a painted background to help visualize the rolling stock under working conditions. When we move I will no longer have a layout, so my rolling stock will fill this case. I purchased a 2 foot by 4 foot display shelving unit. It was apparently made by a company that makes rustic furniture. To say the least, it was very rustic. It was twice as heavy as this case without any plexiglass or hardware. There were crude saw marks, etc. It was packaged for shipping very poorly. I took a skill saw to it and dumped it into the trash. What a waste of money!

Really Nice Display Cases!

Well made and good value
I bought this case to display both British and American models. British OO (1/76th scale) and US/Continental HO (1/87th scale) are about the same size due to the smaller British loading gauge. The shelves have lips about 1/8" high. I wanted to display the trains on track but found that although the shelf is deep enough to accomodate the HO track the lip put the track too near the back. My solution was to turn the cabinet upside down as the undersides of the shelves are flat and the track can be positioned further out. This involved moving the hanging brackets but was no problem. The plexiglass door now hinges at the bottom with the clasps at the top. The cabinet looks great but special care is needed when putting the models in.

excellent display case
I now have 5 of these cases and like all of them, they do come with locks/keys for some security. plenty of room to get hands on top of your models in the case. i have a rather large HO collection so soon i will be buying another of these.
