Mattel Monster High Freaky Fusion Siren von Boo Doll

Another fabulous Mattel creation and addition to Monster High characters. This doll I had doubts about until I saw a very good quality review of her on YouTube. That changed my mind and I am so glad that I purchased her. This doll is unique and made equally as well as Bonita. She can either be a ghost by opening her fins (they are made to split open) and she can stand on her own like this. I found that she can be stood up with her fins snapped shut to look like a mermaid and stood upright with a Monster High stand. It just takes some adjustments in her for balance, but; it works. This doll can bend a little forward and back at the waist and I am thinking Mattel designed her this way for this reason.Love her hair, again higher quality Saran was used instead of Nylon. The color is a purplish-blue. She has somewhat of an opalescent sheen to her skin, with the exception of her black webbed hands. Don't be discouraged if her curls get messy. Easy fix: dampen her hair and then lightly spritz with curl activator then finger curl her hair back into place. A+ Amazon transaction. Thank You once again!

One of Sirena's best aspects is her beautiful skin. Photographs really do not do her justice, and do not reveal just how luminous the material used for this doll is. I only have a small collection of MH dolls as of writing this review, but her skin is one of my favourites of the batch, along with Rochelle Goyle's speckled "stone" finish.As with other Monster High dolls, Sirena's hair arrived a bit of a snarly mess. Oily to the touch and a bit knotted, hot water and a comb easily solve the problem.And while her tail is gorgeous to look at, getting her to stand up on it can be a bit of an exercise. Her hip joint is slightly loose and she tends to lean backwards when her fins have been opened up into the "standing" position. It'll take a bit of patience and practice to get her to balance properly. Also of note, she ends up being considerably shorter when she uses her tail to stand (as opposed to using a MH stand to support her). This is not something that I consider a negative, but is something that collectors might want to be aware of, as other MH dolls will tower over her as a result.

I'm a collector of dolls, but I will admit I still play with them from time to time so I don't keep them in the box. The Monster High series has always tickled me, but one of my most passionate things is supernatural and paranormal stuff. I'm actually obsessed with nautical things. I can't tell you how many aquatic plushies I have and the reborn doll I have almost has an entire wardrobe of nautical clothes. I think this is one of my favorite dolls because she is so beautiful and detailed. She captures both the mermaid and ghost essence perfectly. I also love the fact she stands on her own because some of the doll stands I have are made cheaply and don't work as well as I'd like them to. She's a must buy in the Monster High line, for sure for both kids and collectors alike!

Thank you, my daughter just loves this doll and she thinks she is very pretty, she was so excited to get her. She's so happy to have her and add her to her dolls. She gets really happy when she is able to get one of the rare monster high dolls. Lately she's been able to get some of them with the help of her grandpa. He's been trying to help her and her sister get the dolls they want since you can't really seem to find them anymore. So she's been really excited when she sees the prices go down a little bit. So she can tell her grandpa. Very nice excellent, no problems at all, arrived on time. Thank you so much.

This doll is a very interesting addition to my collection. There's a lot of detail in her design, and the way she reflects other MH dolls (mainly Spectra and Lagoona) but is still her own ghoul is very neat. She does stand on her tail fin, but she has to be on a very stable surface or she could lose balance. I did pour a little boiling water over the two pony tails on the side of her head to reduce some of the poofiness of the hair, and now she has true ghost-mermaid hair. Sirena is a great addition to the MH line, and she's proof positive that MH will continue to evolve and bring collectors more amazing things.

Okay. So first off, this doll is as expensive as she is because they no longer make her anymore. I bought her for my best friend who has been dealing with a lot, so I bought this as a “you’re doing great/I love you” present, and She’s literally worth every penny. He loves her so much and that’s all I could have asked for. He wanted this doll ever since the freaky fusion movie came out! I highly recommend. And if you are debating to buy her, please just do it. Because her price is only going to go up. She was discontinued by the manufacturer.

The box on this is in embarrassingly bad shape. There are huge gouges across the front of the plastic, the edges are all torn up, and the box has very clearly been opened (complete with a tear on top that wasn't visible until I opened the top flap that I was unable to get pictures of).The doll herself is gorgeous and arrived unscathed. She's everything I'd hoped for and I love her to pieces. But as a collector this box is an absolute embarrassment, especially for a doll I bought advertised as new.

My daughter loves the Monster High Dolls, and continues to collect and play with them. She has somewhere upwards of 75 plus dolls, then she has pets, bedding, lighting, clocks, clothing (A LOT), jewelry, wall stickers and she is still going. She also is learnig to except people as equals, no matter what color their skin is or if the are disabled in any way shape or form. She is learning that all people have fellings and not to hurt them for how they look or speak, Monster High dolls have helped my daughter to be a better person and to help others less fortunate than her to have a better life also. So as log as she keeps helping others, behaving and excelling in school I say forward we go.
