Great strings. They looked extra shiny when i took them of of their little box (they pack string very nice, even with a little bag thingy to keep strings fresh!)Oh yeah, I also like these because you don't have to be all worried about them because you can bend the crap out of them and they won't break! I've been using them for about 3 months already & they stay in tune so far! Great strings & i love the box they come in too, ZZ top is great as well! I only bought one set to test. I now have 2 back up packs for the ones I'm already using. I love jamming to a variety of songs from Nirvana to Jimi Hendrix to Three Doors Down.Update 11/26/2012 :I am still a great fan of these strings and I never use any other. They are very durable and reliable. Always packaged very well and each string resonates very clearly. They last very long even after they have grime and lose their shine. They're just very wonderful strings.Update 2/24/2014 :Yes. I am still hooked on these strings. You get quality, durability, and thick/crisp sounding strings here. They still package the strings perfectly. They make sure your strings get to you very fresh and extremely protected from humidity and other environmental concerns. I must say that I still highly recommend these strings. You'll stick with these for life if you try them out. ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons definitely shared his secrets with these.

Great Strings for a Tele!
Great strings for roots, country and blues. Lively and bright - lots of thick twang on my humbucker-loaded ash Tele. Love the tone and the price is right too. Thought I was a GHS Boomers man for life...these are making me second guess that commitment. I use the 10-46 set and they last - stay in tune and best of all - NO BREAKS in the 10 + sets bought. Very impressed thus far. Highly recommended for Fender or Fender-esuqe electric guitars.

Amazing Strings All Around!
Earlier this year I started using B.B. King guitar strings, Love them. But just like anything I like Gibson has discontinued them. So I had to find a new set of strings, that's when I found these bad boys.Rev. Willy's Mexican Lottery Brand StringsThese have been designed with the help of Billy Gibbons "of ZZ Top".This is how their site describes them."Soulful, rich, articulate and smooth, Billy Gibbons' big fat Texas tone has been described as “hot, blue, and righteous”. Dunlop has developed Reverend Willy’s Strings in collaboration with Billy himself—aiming to make strings that offer a real punch and still stay articulate and clear when performing his legendary leads and pinch harmonics."I have to say this is spot on, I absolutely love these strings from the deep bluesy sound, to the feel and the flexibility of them. With the price coming in around $4.50 a set, These are my New go-to Strings!

So they're not very bendy. They don't feel great. But they're cheap.
I'm an Ernie Ball guy. I mostly play Ernie Balls exclusively. I think the slinky and clang'iness of them are amazing. I also like D'Addario, GHS Boomers, and Exliers for tight studio tones.I just want to also throw out that I despise tight strings. I use 10s for Dropped C, D, Db and Standard. I used 11s for Dropped B, A, and Ab. Then 12s for Dropped G and Gb. I play mostly metal and variants of alternative music. Metalcore, Djent, Post Hardcore, Hardcore, Pop Punk, Dad Rock, Slam and Beatdown, Deathcore, Deathmetal, etc etc. Genres for days. However, I do dabble a lot in pop, pop-rock, electronic music, and hip-hop. So I constantly pick up new instruments and string them up for various clients. As a producer in the south, a lot of my clients are singers and songwriters, country stars, and bluegrass folky type, artists. That like the Telecaster twang, the Les Paul sustain, and the Strat brightness. Oh, let's not forget the occasional 80's Charvel shred.I threw these on my Gibson Les Paul Custom, and I hated the feel instantly, regretting the purchase. So within the first five minutes of playing, I was already contemplating taking them off. I figured I'd let the client decide. He didn't say anything, but he did favor another guitar with Ernie Balls on it.Fast forward. After a week. The feeling stayed the same. No loss of tone. Still stale stiffness. Normal expected generic guitar sounds.Fast forward to week four. A few clients picked it up, no one really was blown away. Again, most go towards other axes. They do still feel the same. I'm not sure if due to the little amount they were played, may be a total of two hours on them total.I figured I'd try to justify the purchase and do a bit of tracking on it. Here's my non-biased open experience. There's almost no bend on these things, the tension is way too tight on the higher strings. They are so stiff it hurts almost. They're boomy, and work well for chords and sustain. Though they should, most guitar strings need to do this. I don't like the way solos or chicken pickin' sounds on them. It almost sounds like the stiffness gravitates towards the neck pickup more and you can really hear it on record. I do like the way they sound for ambiance on big ol' wide chords that are intended to fill space. Like a Cadd9 kind of ring out. They feel full in that regard. Stiff but full.Overall I can't say I'd recommend them. As Ernie Balls for me while they don't last super long, just sound great from the start to make it through a song or record. I'm not sure if they need some serious breaking in, or if this is just how these strings are made but it's a hard no for me.I'd say 4 out of 5 because maybe someone likes my flaws. As well they do sound the same as they did after around 7 hours of playing. So you can certainly get a few gigs out of them if that's your thing. I change strings generally twice a song to keep the fullness on a track that's professionally going out. I change them once per song on an album that's rather serious. Then once per album on a band that isn't going for the full professional experience with the cost included. I don't think I'd need to do that with these on that note.My experience.

How-how-how
Strings are brighter than average and a tad more bendy.

Inexpensive not cheap
Have tried most brands out there, Been using these for a few years now (10s) no complaints, durable, never had one break and sound as good as more expensive strings I’ve used

Nothing wrong with them, but not for me
I love Dunlop products, but found these kind of stiff. Probably a better product if you plan on tuning below E standard.

The Search Is Over!
I have been playing guitar since the ‘80s, and I’ve tried many different brands and types of strings; unfortunately, I couldn’t find a set of strings that felt “right.” I slapped a set of Rev. Willy’s 10-46 strings on my Epi Casino, started playing, and immediately thought, “no more looking.” I will buy these by the crate from now on! These strings feel so smooth and sound sweet and warm! I know some folks won’t dig these strings, but I dig ‘em just fine.

Mal andere Saiten...Probieren lohnt sich !
Rev.

Rev Willy's 10-46
I've only just starting trying these, being a user of the JD standard strings. They do have there own tone but still recognisably JD. I think you do need to pick your guitar. I think they would liven up a slightly dark sounding guitar. I have them on a couple of Les Paul 'clones', and they do give a powerful sound, which I think is what they are designed to do. But they can still do the more laid back gentler stuff. Don't know what they are like on single coils.
