An absolutely essential reading for EVERY board member, S-level executive, and aspiring executives: You should never think of making a policy or supporting a strategy unless you have read and mastered this book. The few brave managers who have read this through have gained a lot more insights, developed better organizational structures, and made a difference. Parts of this book may seem technical due to the DYNAMO equations, but with a little persistence, these are quite intelligible (most are basic algebra expressed in a computer code). Not just the main text, even the appendices are rich and deep with a lot of meaning and consequence. Every paragraph in this book is so well worded, you do not need other books simultaneously (or a dictionary if you are not a native English speaker). The beauty of this content is in linking the micro-structure we design in corporations and other social settings and their macro-behaviors - both are interrelated and each is connected in thought-through and profound ways. Learning from this book will advance: consistency of logic, understanding of real-world phenomena, appreciation of causal mechanisms, emergence of intuitive - AND counterintuitive - insights, and basic system dynamics modeling that, even if not practiced by the senior executive, must be understood by her/him. And those who practice will have more fun in understanding and relating.

This book is the best training for managers I have yet read. All things are possible with this book.

Great book. A classic within the system dynamics literature. If you are interested in knowing more about the use of system dynamics in supply chain applications this book is a must!

This is a highly technical book that goes into specifics about the functional operations of a business. This book is not really for beginners unless you are a self- learner. Technical business operational jargon is used and concepts go deep and are depicted using industry style graphs . But if you know a thing or two about business' operations, then you will only become that more the wiser.

Good book, essential for systems analyst. More importantly, an excellent beginners book to systems dynamics.

Es el libro por excelencia en el tema de dinámica de sistemas, pero resultó ser un libor muy administrativo y poco claro en los conceptos. Me parece mejor el libro de Javier Aracil.
