A good starting point.
It's a reasonable book, it is filled with valid information, along with being well presented and easy to use. However, I would urge people to treat it as a starting point, and not rely on all the information to be current or correct to your own requirements. Do your own research too.Nonetheless, an excellent tool to have within your armory.

Not the easiest nor most accurate of guides.
Rather difficult to use this guide, the most frustrating thing being the location maps - it is impossible to make out exactly where the Aires are as the maps themselves are completely illegible, I could make out about six place names in the entire book (Dijon, Paris, Troyes etc.) The authors admit that they (naturally!) have relied on third party information and this showed in at least one of the included Aires - St Privy - where only the fact that it was next to a lake was accurate!

Handy For Us First Timers
As others have said it’s a bit “clunky” to search for relevant page, site etc. However, once you get your head round it, it’s very usable! The 4sites we have used so far on this trip have been as described and easily found. Our first time using Aires in our camper van so it was a useful tool and comfort blanket.

Excellent Buy
Excellent publication with some of the best Aires in France Just what I was looking for as It saves researching through the thousands of Aires in other Aires books to find what Im looking for. I will be using it this summer to plan my route through France. Would have preferred the photographs of the Aires to be in colour.

Very poor maps and general layout of the book and index
Have spent hours trying to plan my tour through France using this book and I have to say my husband and I have both found it difficult to do! The actual detail of each Aire is good but the maps are awful, so small that you cannot read them even with a magnifying glass! There index is poor too. I have needed to google most of my trip and then try to use the book alongside it. If you have lots of time then some parts will be useful but I would not recommend if you have limited time or want to use as a quick reference. Fingers crossed the Aires we have picked will be as good as described otherwise the book will be donated to a charity shop on our return!

A Must Have Companion Whilst Touring France in a Motorhome or Campervan
Absolutely great purchase. We already had "All the Aires in France" North & South but this book has compiled the best of the Aires from both and put loads of them in this book. It's brilliant.Very informative and lots of detail.Getting to grips with the indexes took a bit of getting used to at first and the black & white map detail could be better but used in conjunction with a good French Road Atlas or Electronic device it's great and you soon start getting to grips with it. To be honest it's probably me more than the book.I would certainly recommend it to anyone heading to France on tour in a Motorhome or Campervan who want to keep the costs down and have a truly relaxing break.Great purchase

Packed with useful information.
An invaluable companion when planning a motorhome trip through France. Well researched and full of really useful information. As another reviewer has commented, a little tricky to use initially and the maps are not great, but all in all an excellent resource. I can’t wait to use it on my forthcoming trip to France!
