Great for mounting converters
We use the BMD HDMI to SDI converters with GoPro cameras and this makes it easy to secure the converter to the camera and mount clamp. Also great to use with a DSLR and any other cameras without an SDI output to a live broadcast.

Great product
I am using a Canon M50 mk II as a video production camera for instructional video. As HDMI cables are comparatively fragile, I am using a Blackmagic HDMI to SDI converter so that I can use an SDI cable to connect to the Blackmagic 3G "capture card" connected to my computer. Both the camera and the SDI converter are powered by a battery plate.

Great solution
I was just dangling my BMD Micro converter off my PCC4K until I got this. Using 2 SDI cables to control and send signal to my ATEM TV 4k Pro works perfect.

Confusion with a solution.
The item is as it’s presented.... Solid piece of item, it comes with two little screws to fasten whatever you want to mount but then I realize something. How am I to mount the converter if the converter doesn’t have additional screws to fasten it to anything? A bit confused on how it’s being sold vs the actual functionality of the item. Wasn’t a complete deal breaker. Ended up using Velcro so that I can attach/detached the converter.

Short screws and and not ideal for SDI3G
As others have said, the M3 screws are too short so you need to get other screws to make it work. Also, Black Magic changed the positions of the screw holes on the newer HDMI to SDI3G version (the older version is without 3G). You can still attach it but it is not as seamless. I like the idea and it does work but you need to put extra work into it to buy the screws and it does not look as neat as it could be.

Mounting screws are too short
The screws shipped with the mount aren't long enough to catch the threads in the Micro Converter.
