1TB SSD 2.5 inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive Read 550MB/S Write 550MB/S

So bought this as a cheaper option to upgrade the HDD in my laptop. Used some free to use software to clone HDD and copied over to this SSD. A bit tricky opening up the laptop to get to the existing drive but once in it is an easy plug in new SSD and put it all back together again. A noticable improvement in performance. Windows loads way more quicker and Office apps much more responsive. If you are looking for a cost effective upgrade to an older HDD - can't go wrong here.

I have an aged HP 15" laptop from 2010 when It was purchased for my daughter on going to uni. She has moved on to newer tech and left it with us when she moved out. I updated it to Windows 10 and put the security updates on it every now and then but it was infuriatingly slow. The WiFi did not work and had to connect to router by cable. I decided to try an SSD in it, fortunately access to the hard drive was easy as it had its own cover on the back, 2 small screws only securing it. Fitted the SSD no problem. Had saved files on a usb and windows10 from the media creation tool. It has transformed the laptop and it is handy for a spare if needed.

ssd drive arrived it was so great I even bought another but there's a catch. If this drive happens to go wrong with in the 3 year period like mine has less than a year old the seller here on amazon just blanks you when you email them, amazon are no good as its past their 30 day policy. The drive when it worked was fast and I was well impressed with how little it cost, but dont expect the seller here on Amazon to adhere to their 3 year warranty even though it has it even written on the box as they wont and all communication they will ignore. Amazon is getting worse than eBay and if you had bought this in a high street shop i'm certain i'd of got a replacement. Not happy and it should be zero stars

So, I bought this for my Thinkpad X61. It's an ancient machine that needed some life put into it. This SSD is just that. Perfect. I installed Windows 10 on my old friend the X61 and it's working like a charm. Don't know how long this will last. It doesn't have a cheap feel to it, but you never know with a SSD...overall, I am very very pleased. Instead of buying another laptop for £170+, I gave £23 and I got the same feeling plus the satisfaction of reviving an old buddy. A good deal, I would say.

This SSD replaced an existing 1Tb conventional HD in my desktop PC. The PC has 16Gb RAM so I wasn't sure how much improvement I'd get apart from faster startup, but almost everything seems smoother. Doesn't come with any software unlike some other brands but I downloaded EaseUS Todo Home Backup free edition and it worked perfectly. Of course cloning a 1Tb HD takes several hours. Can't comment on reliability as only had it a few days (hence 4*) but very pleased.

I only installed this a month ago, so cannot report on its longevity. However, I am very pleased with this SSD. It replaced an older HDD storage disc that was on its last legs and causing problems. The Baititon SSD was easy to instal (on Asus X550CA laptop) and the improvement in speed over the old HDD excellent (to be expected I suppose). The increased performance at the price (about £27) was such that I would recommend replacing even a trouble free HDD.

This fitted into my laptop easily and has run very well despite a heavy work load for over a year.

I transferred the contents of the hard disk drive in my laptop onto this SSD which fitted into the space left by the HDD. Loading times at startup have improved markedly so am looking to get a few more years use from this laptop.
