My wife and I read a lot of these types of books. She is always looking for a new idea, a new spin or a new take on an old favorite. She makes body butters, lotions, and balms and is constantly experimenting with essential oils. Whenever a new book comes out on this topic we are on top of it, looking for something new or improved. It doesn’t always have to be a new recipe either. Sometimes it is a new comment or viewpoint about why or how to do something a different way.In this book the author does a very good job of setting the stage. If I had been a novice in this field, it would have helped me greatly. There is always something new when we read books like these, and this one was no exception. The self-tanner idea was interesting. I won’t spoil it for readers, but make sure you read the whole book. There was a lot of very useful information in here as well. This is a great book for someone who is new to this topic, who wants to learn about the basic components of these items.

This book is a funny look at lotion making. It teaches about proper techniques and explains which ingredients to use to make the lotion best suited to your needs.

This book goes in depth on body oils, lotions, creams, butters, and, the one i haven't heard of before, yogurts. There is a breakdown of everything that goes into each type of lotion. There are some great recipes in this book that can get you started making your own lotions. I really like the idea of using tea as a thinner. This is the perfect Christmas gift for the DIY-er in your family!

I give this book 4 stars because it's well written and very informative. I like this book because of the easy to follow recipes. I will definitely try the recipes and experiment with essential oils.

It gets you started making lotion. I could not find anything else that does.

It has information that is useful in lotion making.There's no information on how to bottle or packaging.It does give short recipes.

I live in a small community with many small businesses and making lotion, body butter, cream, etc is a good place to start with a business. I downloaded this book with KU after I read this authors awesome book about body butters. I have already made a body butter but I haven't tried this lotion recipe yet but I completely trust this author after the butter recipe. Again, all these ingredients are easy to find and afforadble.
