Anyone Can Bake: Step-By-Step Recipes Just for You (Better Homes and Gardens Cooking) Hardcover-spiral – August 14, 2009

A friend of mine gave me "Anyone can Cook" when I got married and I basically learned how to cook using that book. I never was a big fan of recipe books and generally go online when I need a recipe book, but I got this book because the "Anyone can Cook" taught me so much and I was hoping the same for this book. I really like how it gives how to make one type of cookie, or muffin, and then suggestions on how to 'personalize' the recipe however you want. It helps me 'think out of the box' and be a little more daring to try things where I will make it how I like it, not how I am told how it should be made exactly. There are several recipes that give me ideas of what I can do. I have to admit, my favorite baking recipes I got online from Eagle Brand, but I go back to this book for new ideas.

I love to bake and wanted to have my kids bake with me. I bought this cookbook to teach my kids the basics of baking and to have fun with it. The book has plenty of pictures and some easy step by step directions so anyone can follow them and learn to bake. It explains about the basic ingredients used in baking and how to measure and what utensils, pans etc.,to use. Gives a few tips on several recipes. This was a great choice for the money! Another book I would recommend is Betty Crocker Baking Basics, it has a lot of pictures also, and explains baking terminology and has pictures of the pans and utensils needed and what each are used for and why. It has easy step by step instructions too.

The book I know is amazing - which is why I bought it! I was so excited to use it for the holidays! But beware of the seller sending you a book like this! Broken bind, mold, and water damage. Not even an option to send a new book. Just waisting my time to go and drop off this return.

I purchased this for my 17 year old daughter who had very little baking experience. She loves it! She follows the recipes EXACTLY (that is how she is wired) and her cookies are amazing. I basically handed her the book, left the room, and came back two hours later to enjoy the results.

I love this book! It taught me everything I know and is a must have for any kitchen! It has recipes for literally everything. Also has helpful tips and explains in a way that everyone can understand. Has gorgeous pictures and illustrations for techniques needed. Not to mention the recipes are delicious and rated on a scale of difficulty so you know what you're getting yourself into. This is absolutely my favorite cook book ever!

This is a very good book. My kids will learn a lot from this. The pictures and the details on how to make and or bake will go a long way. Thanks.

Love the spiral bound - easy to use while working through a recipe....This is the kind of cookbook I would use to stat teaching a novice cook. I like it a lot!

I bought three copies of this for 3 of my teen grandchildren. One is a male who is interested in learning to cook. These will be part of their Christmas presents so I have not broken the wrap on the book. They sound good and I have Better Homes and Garden cook books that are excellent.

First received this book as gift and have since bought three mores for gifts. It is just the best, lots of easy to do recipes for any level with great end results. This one I bought as "Good - Used Condition" - for the price, if it was gently luvved then ok. Was so happy when it arrived in original packing, never opened and not a mark on it.
