Great price. So far it has been reliable
Great price. So far it has been reliable. The pins and bolts are cheap chinese. Already rusting. Nothing wrong with its functioning so far. ****Update it’s 2020 and this thing still runs! I leave it outside most of the year. It has saved my bacon a few times.

Will it start easily after sitting around for months?
I have just received this generator and finished running some 30amp (#10) cable to connect it to an outside 30 amp. outlet. I have not put gas or oil in the motor yet but hope it starts and puts out fine. I did not know about the importance of amps as this is a 6000 watt generator. It has two breakers on its panel 21 amps and 20amps. So I assume it is only good for up to 41 amps.I want to run my two refrigerators and my HVAC cooling/heating system in case of a power outage in the area. I will have to come back and reevaluate this product once i have used it. Thanks

Portable Generator
Excellent product and not expense. I will recommend this product and with my eyes close. I thought was going to be louder, but is not loud at all. I am ready for any blackout in my area now. This product has been more that I was expecting.

Similar to KingCraft, Homelite, Other brands Jiangsu Jiangdong
NOTE: This model no longer has a 240V outlet. Check models carefully in this brand and line of generators and it's various other associated "clones". Currently, HERE is a model on Amazon WITH 240V outlet:http://www.amazon.com/All-Power-America-APG3009-Generator/dp/B00185RS6A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_lg_5This brand and particular model is similar if not the same as KingCraft, Homelite, and several other brands made or powered by Jiangsu Jiangdong Ltd. gas and diesel engines. There are differences in this model and it has been sold for the last several years in the 6,000 watt size with engines of 291cc to 338cc and horsepower ratings of 9 to 13. Sooooo. . . . it may be necessary to scrutinize. Based on my calculations the 291cc version is probably close to 10HP and is the one I have. Yet the units that were/are sold with 328cc are not rated for anymore than 6,000 watts. Perhaps the size of the generator unit itself?Anyway, I assembled mine with the wheel kit in about 20 minutes using wooden blocks to support it. It is a bit of a beast and so take care. Once assembled, I put a gallon of gasoline in it and 1 quart of motor oil in the engine turned the gas valve on, set the choke and it started on the first pull. The 291cc engine is quite a bit quieter than my Honda 5.5HP lawn mower. I was concerned I would have to keep it a distance from the house. But I tested it right up on our concrete patio next to the patio door, and with all doors closed you can hear a soft drone, but way less than my neighbor's lawn mower at 8AM. :) I let it run twice for 20 minutes each with two 1,500 watt heaters plugged in and it ran fine. Even my wife thought it would not keep us awake if we were without power for several days should that be necessary.Buyers should take note that in order to properly connect this unit up to your home, safety steps and proper installation is required. Here is a link from Washington State on several means to connect it according to code:[...]I recommend a circuit breaker interlock kit, along with a 30amp Reliance brand outside power receptacle, and a mating twist-lock L14-30 plug and connector to make up a 10/3 cable with ground. Do a search on the net for "Generator Interlock Kit" and there is a helpful video on YouTube about those also. Depending on the distance to you circuit breaker panel, you may need to by 50' to 75' of 10/3 cable with ground also. For my installation, additional materials as just mentioned cost about an extra $190, but I already had an interlock device which is another $145 or so. Please don't be unsafe and try and back feed the power through a jerry-rigged connection for you and your family's safety! That's about it. After I get to use this should a power outage occur I will try an update. The quality of this unit appears as good as many name brands, and, in fact, may be the same as some "house brands" at home supply and hardware stores.

aldi brand king craft generator
hello, my name is gary and i also bought the king craft 6000\5000 continuous generator, altho i have not used it on a daily basis, i do run it weekly with numerous power tools.i do locksmith work, running key cutters, and code type machines that is nothing for thepower this thing puts out, but i also do a board up service for reo propertys, and runskill saws, and a five hp craftsman air compressor at the same time, and have not had aproblem yet. this is actually the third kingcraft i owned, the other to are the 3250 wattthat i also run saws, and key machines off of. ive heard somewhere, but have no way to verify, but was told that the motors on these generators are the same motors as a honda, onlyunbranded. to me it makes no diffrence, as im very happy either way because they seem tobe very dependable, and the best part for me is they are very quiet. i have read reviewsof other guys having problems with valves and guides breaking, but i wonder if most peopleknow these generators come packed without oil in the motors. if they run an engine withoutoil, no matter what it is, you will break it real quick. im sure some guys have legitimatebeefs, but these generators are no diffrent than other things like cars and trucks, youralways going to have a percentage of them break down. if it does, and your not mechanicallyincline, take it to a repair dealer that works on all models, dont try to fix it yourself, you could make it worse. i do understand these are made in china, but you cant beat the price, and like anything else you have to give the product a chance. i know theres crappy stuffthat comes from china sometime, but theres crappy stuff that comes from right here also.well thats my review, and im very happy with mine, so if you keep up with the maintanenceyou should not have any problems.
