10/10 had it for a year now, full confidence
I've had this harness for my car for about a year now. I used it at my previous home I rent with fenced in backyard. It worked well and she liked going outside as much as I liked the safety of mind. But we all know that fear it will fail. Now I worked with my cat calliope for awhile to get her used to it. Started her inside with the harness and no leash and worked on her getting comfortable with it nice and tight. In the last year be had 3 times of total cat fear in it while we've been outside. The first was an unsuspecting hose turning on. That was the one and only time she veer got out of it. And it took her a full 30 seconds of thrashing while I made the decision to turn off the hose (in hindsight poor priority check).Twice more in the last few months post moving to a new location she's walked into our low hanging wind-chime. These times she ran fill speed and even fought the harness to some degree and she still stayed in.I know walk outside with confidence when she's in it. I know that so long as I'm staying with her and if she gets scared making her first priority in the situation, I will have the time to take are of the situation and she won't break free. (give her enough time of course and she will but cays are a liquid like that). If you're looking for a harness, I strongly suggest this one. In addition to the good hold, it has 2 places you can clip the leash top-center or top-back. I always do center as if shes hopping places I can catch her better (yes I have had to low key catch a kitten with it falling off a fence when she was young). It also velcros at the neck and belly so you don't have to out it over her head. Her baking able to see me with it means she tolerates having me out it on her while a cat coat would never be accepted.10/10 would recommend (and do!)

Great quality, but not for extra-large cats
I purchased this vest/harness in size XL for my 16-pound domestic tabby cat, in hopes of helping him shed some weight through exercise. It is very nicely made and good quality, but nfortunately, size XL (which is the largest size it comes in) was too small in both the neck and chest circumference for my cat. Here is my view of the XL harness measurements: With the harness laid flat, the end-to-end chest circumference of the harness is 23", but you will want to allow for at least 1.5" of velcro overlap at each end for a secure fit, so I would say that the max cat chest size this fits is 20". The end-to-end neck circumference of the harness measures 14.5", but again, you will need to allow for velcro overlap, so the max cat neck size this fits would probably be around 12".

My cat absolutely hates this with a passion I previously thought him incapable of expressing.
From my perspective: Fits well. I bought the small and medium because he's about 8 pounds and either one fits, but the smaller one fits him best. Seems sturdy enough and it didn't break the bank, plus it's camo! Great for a beginner adventure kitty, right? He seemed to know it was for him when I pulled it from the box and rubbed it a little. Then I, with apparent malice aforethought and harboring secret dreams of destroying his autonomy placed it on him and velcroed him up. I put him on his feet and he splatted to the ground on his side. We were in for a test of wills. He spent some time deciding if I meant him fatal harm and came to the incorrect conclusion that I did mean to kill and probably eat him, even though there was never any clue he felt that way until now. With his belly touching the ground he bolted about 10 feet and then it looked like he was wrestling an imaginary dragon, Mehmet I assume. It may be that the red dragon helped him get out of the harness, because get out he did, then moved under a car. Hilarity ensued. Finally caught and (omg) hissing at me he took a deep breath to make it more difficult to harness him, but I had learned the way of the horse many years ago and I just waited for him to blow. The satisfying "Chhh" of applying velcro was the last sound he ever heard before his autonomy was ripped away and he became rigid, thus falling to the ground. I am sure with time, and great patience will come total compliance with my wishes, after all he is but a house cat. From the cat's perspective: "Hey what's that thing is it a toy for me?" Rubs face on it - I want this. Get picked up, a concealing, possibly warm thing being draped over me. Nice. A new cat blanket maybe? Then "chhh" and my neck freedom is severely hindered. Oh, I do not like this (shakes head and shoulders) What the F- are you doing? Don't attach the other velcro, (violent wiggling) you mother- Awww. Now I. Don't. Have the. Autonomy. To stand. (falls sideways). It is if I am without the use of my extremities and - ohh I am not getting air, omg I'm not getting air, "Holy - I'm going to die. You murderer!" Pass out briefly from lack of snacks then instantly bolt under a car like a friggin ninja! "What's - wh" (flips ends at the end of leash). "Sorcery! Imaginary dragon you're my only friend now, you have to help me get out of this trap before I suffocate." (Massive Struggling)"Ah thank you dragon, I would offer you my firstborn, but fear that I shall never conceive a child.""Do not worry about it my friend as I am an imaginary dragon. The power to escape was always within you"Owner snags me when I was talking to Mehmet, starts re attaching the harness. "I'll inhale and puff myself up so he can't make it fit". Oh this was a great idea, he's having trouble getting the belly strap - aw, what's he doing. He's...waiting. What, why wait? Just try again and give up, that's your path. He knew I was going to hold my breath, he's a WITCH."(looking at me) "Notice my eyes are wide open right now, as I am giving you no assurance of not killing you in your sleep tonight. You have to sleep sometime, you have to get on the toilet sometime and you will never see it coming. I mean, thanks for the treat...oh yes, quite yummy. Now what were you on about?

So adorable, great fit
We love this leash, the sailor vest is adorable. Our 13lb cat was initially apprehensive but once he got the hang of it and realized he could explore our hood with us, he’s super happy. He’s also a rad car cat so this will be a super fun way to take him out with us. We got the size Large for our 13lb goodboi.

Red sailor suit
It looks great! But the sizing was incorrect. I ordered the size recommended by the manufacturer, but it is too big for my small cat so the flap that goes underneath sticks out and doesn't attach to anything.

The Best Harness we've found!
We are planning to take our kitties on road trips and needed to leash train them. We tried several brands and styles. These are the absolute best! It only took a few days to get our rescue cats to accept them. Now, they seem to understand that, in order to go outside they must have them on. Bobbi (bobtail) sits by the door and waits for us to gently place it around her. She wears a large and its a nearly perfect fit, (her girth prevents us from wrapping it any tighter.) Nini (Panini) was a stray that we adopted. She had been found outside, rescued along with a litter of kittens. She is familiar with the outdoors, but never tried to run out the door when we brought her home. Now, she also seems to understand that the harness is a must, if she wants to explore the outdoors. Very quick adjustment period for her, as well. Quick and easy to place on, no over the head or snaps. Just wrap and go. The leashes are nice and long, so they feel free. We highly recommend these!

it looks like he should have the freedom of movement to jump ...
It looks very cute but I did struggle with the sizing. My cat is quite big, 5kg, but he is not huge, he's a normal weight for his size and even the largest harness doesn't fit him properly around the chest... I can't do up the velcro bit because the strap is too short but I can use the clip to secure it so it works ok! My cat is a bit weird about it, he seems unable to jump when he's wearing it, it looks like he should have the freedom of movement to jump but simply thinks he can't? Or is too uncomfortable? It's quite funny to watch anyway and this is totally dependent on the cat, I'm sure other cats could be fine. The harness was all one pattern (the blue polka dots) as you can see from the photo, it didn't have the zig-zag section described on other reviews.

Best cart harness I have tried
We have recently moved and our new house is less cat secure than our previous one and I have been concerned that our Sherlock might get lost or run over so tried several leads and harnesses before settling on this one. It is relatively easy to secure him in to it and the bright pink colour means if the lead somehow got separated from the harness, I should be able to spot him. However, I will say that he is not at all keen on it but at least it means until he gets used to his new surroundings, he can go out for a walk and I don't have to worry. In terms of sizing, I bought both the medium and the large. He does fit the medium but he fluffs his body out so I cannot do the clasp up under his tummy so I have taken to using the large one (which is meant for a small dog) so that I can get it round his body.

Decent harness
The media could not be loaded. Our cat hadn’t worn a harness since he was a kitten but took to this really well. We needed a harness as we had moved from our previous house with a small enclosed garden which the cat was used to, to a much larger and more open garden, with plenty of routes to escape. We took our cat out on the harness regularly to walk round the garden and get used to the smells and sounds of his new home. It really helped him cope with the change and build confidence before we let him out on his own. He kicked up a little bit of fuss when we put it on or took it off but was absolutely fine with it on. We got the large and it just about fitted our 5kg cat.

Easy to customize fit and strong velcro
Update to add new photo at 7mo. He's starting to outgrow it, but it has served him well through kittenhood.Although when I ordered, the XS was still too big for my kitten (see photo) he has since grown into it and with fairly consistent clicker training, he's comfortable wearing it around the house. Even when it was too big, I was able to put it on him to get him comfortable wearing it. We've not processed to the leash yet, but he's finally getting big enough that I will start on indoor leash training soon. The harness is easy to put on as it is only 2 velcro straps and it stays on well. The strap under the chin is a bit large for kittens, but with how fast they grow it becomes a good size quickly. The velcro is very strong and my cat hasn't been able to get out of it, though he hasn't really tried. The first few times he wore it he walked very funny, but with clicker training and treats he's become very comfortable moving around in it.

Great as easy to get on my small cat
Hard or impossible for him to get out of. Easy to put on. He walks really well, no problems with the shoulder area constricting his natural cat walking abilities. Well made. Velcro strong. Watch for your fluffy cats fur though. He really loves this being in the army. Honestly the best for a slim slinky cat or older kitten. I got extra small. Very good with easy, stress free attaching. Good lead strong attachment at the correct anatomical area of his back just after his shoulders. He is an eascapologist and this he has not got out of, and his neck is safe too, as cats can get throttled on other stupid ones. Not this one padded well. Go for it. Watch the kitty for with the velcro.
