Great quality, easy to run and works great
I've bought several units of this cable for some indoor and outdoor speakers. The cable is great quality, feels "solid" and whilst it is rigid due to the solid core nature of the cable it is flexible enough that if you are pulling it under the floor etc it is easy enough to do.Compared to other brands this is absolutely great value and works exactly as expected. The only thing I could ask is for them to do a black version however for the cost it is absolutely not a deal breaker

Quality stuff
Why did you choose this product over others?:Very thick copper speaker wire.. Quality wire and the price is worth every penny... I can honestly recommend this wire..

It is what it is – not good for my intended use – but it is a 5 star product
I've used this wire to attach 3 speakers to an AVR:• Front Left• Center• Front RightI was intending, before I purchased it, to use it for the Left and Right surround channels too.It is too thick/heavy and unsightly to do that in my house – my partner rightfully looked horrified when I suggested it and that reaction was justified. It is stark white, and very thick making it particularly conspicuous when attempting to trail it for any length. It's conspicuous when used for the two front speakers either side of the screen. The centre speaker is ok because it sits on a shelf directly above the AVR and within a unit that obscures the cables at the back... but that required a length of cable around 2 feet long and frankly this reel is far too long for my use case.If you're in a domestic situation I would avoid this and instead look for an alternative "micro" wire with a transparent or markedly less conspicuous thickness that can be more easily pushed under skirting boards etc.As for the cable, if you're in the market for a thick and resilient wiring this is actually a really good product and within the thick outer cover, the sub wires are also well covered and coloured red/black all the way along for easy identification. The cable is on a card spool and was initially covered in thin transparent plastic.Delivery was quick (Prime) and the product is exactly as described – I just didn't realise it was going to be quite a hardy as it actually is – you have to break it in with lots of (probably bad for the wiring) bending. In the end I purchased a more expensive (but cut to length) "micro" wire which was much more suitable for running in the gaps around the edges of the room and fit inside the speaker stands to further obscure it.

Low cost heavy speaker cable that is now somehow cheaper.
I bought this speaker cable at approximately £1.20/m. I cut two 7.5m lengths and finished the cables with Chord legs and QED banana plugs which cost 3 times as much as the cable. These cables were placed between a Naim Supernait 3 and pair of Monitor Audio Gold 100 speakers replacing cable that retails at £20/m without termination. Was there an audible difference? Yes. Is it as good as Chord Rumour X or QED XT40i? No. Is it better than bell wire (which can’t be much cheaper)? Infinitely so if not quite as flexible or hideable. If you want to see if flimsy speaker cables are diminishing your amps ability to supply power without breaking the bank and you don’t mind cables larger than 13 amp rated flex, then at the now reduced price of a little over 70p/m I would recommend this cable.

Great quality speaker cable at a bargain price!
I'm a big fan of Amazon Basics speaker cable - it's great quality for the price, solid yet flexible (if you know what I mean!) and the really good value for money. I've used it for a number of different applications over the years and can't fault it in any way - the most recent purchase was for running from my amp to surround sound speakers, which it's ideal for. I've spent a lot more per meter in the past and there's no noticeable difference to my ears, this is great value cable that performs superbly. Highly recommended.

A good deal for decent cable
This is genuinely a good deal for OFC cable. I've used it to replace some CCA cables & now my home cinema speakers sound richer, deeper & warmer. A noticeable difference. If you have a decent amp & hi spec speakers this is a no brainer. But if you have budget components, spend your money elsewhere.

Quality and price in 2025, shockingly good.
Considering the price of copper in the world market, I'm truly astonished this cable is pure copper (you know what I mean) and the price seems like its from a decade ago. Much of the similarly priced wiring will be CCA type and althoiugh not bad, this is a no brainer for the price. The only issue you may find, its somewhat rigid if installing/routing around bends. Much of that is to do with the outer sleeve, so once removed (with some dificulty as its thick) some extra flexibility is available. The sleeve is good for routing and its hardwearing, and made for that purpose.Overall, shock to find this cable at this price.

Very good
The cable is exactly as described. As others have pointed out you risk cutting through the coloured cables if you use a stanley knife. The best way to avoid this is to not use a knife but small sharp nail scissors instead by cutting downwards between the black and red cables rather than across. See the photo for what I mean.If you do accidentally cut through the red or black rubber just cover up the exposed wiring with speaker cable tape. Always cut off 10 - 20cm more than you need in case you do mess things up though.I found stripping about 8cm of the outer cable cover at each end made it easy to attach spades or banana plugs with for the right amount of slack.
