Why The CIA Killed JFK and Malcolm X: The Secret Drug Trade in Laos
S**R
I might rewrite title "One Of The Reasons The CIA Killed JFK and Malcolm X:
The Secret Drug Trade in Laos"It's hard to give 5 stars to a history book on a period within living memory that has no original research in it. So I rated it 4. Forgive me for taking my power to rate a book seriously.Otherwise, the secret war in Laos needs to come to light, as do the real reasons and true perpetrations of the murders of our great leaders of the 60s. This book at least opens the door to an important perspective. Support for the author's conclusions are well-documented and cited. I don't know that I agree with all the conclusions, but I don't have to. For example, the drug trade that our CIA was involved in was institutionally complex, which is not to say the CIA was innocent. CIA was also on track to develop its systematic terror program, and with these filthy interests, was quite obviously on a different track than the President. The President was consistently, politically engaging with developing nations in Africa and Asia, whereas his own military/intelligence bureaucracies were pressuring the moment to take full advantage of military superiority to increase power through domination. The author nicely quoted the President's call for complete disarmament during his State of the Union speech. Yes, the drug trade was important. However, it had its own history and the corrupt use of trafficking to fund war and develop intelligence networks was a fledgling enterprise for US intelligence. It was one factor in a decision to draw on unspeakable power to eliminate the last real President, but power and control of private interests over public, popularly elected office had the weight of fully mature, Robber Baron approval. NSAM 239 did not.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT BOOKS EXPLAINING THE UNVARNISHED TRUTH OF THE DESTRUCTION OF THE MIDDLE CLASS
WE ALL NEED TO READ THIS AMAZING SHORT AND VERY TRUTHFUL ANALYSIS. IF YOU FOLLOW THE MONEY, YOU SECURE THE ANSWERS. JOHN KOERNER GIVES THE UNVARNISHED ANSWER. ARE YOU CAPABLE OF READING THIS BOOK AND ACCEPTING THE TRUTH? IT IS TRAGIC THAT THE MOST WONDERFUL COUNTRY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD HAS LOST THE FOCUS OF OUR FOREFATHERS LIKE THOMAS JEFFERSON, GEORGE WASHINGTON, ISRAEL PUTNAM, AND MANY OTHERS ON ACCOUNT OF OUR GREEDY LEADERS. THE ONLY HISTORY THAT IS RELEVANT IS HOW THE ONE TENTH OF ONE PERCENT KEEP GETTING RICHER, AND THE REST OF US KEEP FALLING FURTHER BEHIND. WE ARE ALL EXPENDABLE, AND WE ALL NEED TO DO THIS MATH BECAUSE THE CONSEQUENCES ARE EVERYWHERE. JOHN KOERNER IS A VERY BRAVE MAN!!!!!

JFK alive meant the end of the Cold War. No Vietnam war no way no how.
Oh Jesus! War is organized mass murder. JFK fought in WW2. His brother died in the war. No way in hell he was taking us to WAR in S.E. Asia. Not happening folks. The CIA/FBI were about to be castrated as well. The corporate fascists looked at JFK and did not like what they saw. They saw a man sharpening his ax and looking directly at them. The CIA is the drug running part of the secret government and the DEA is the arms running part. Just kidding the both do it all!

Finally, some truth!
An excellent descriptive read, that follows the channels of history with accuracy. That in itself is refreshing, given that most history is written by those who are paid to do so and told what to write. For me, there was additional information about Malcom X and his sincere contribution to freedom, about which I was unaware. However, it was the four killings, JFK, RFK, MLK, and Malcom X within a short period of one another that should raise the eyebrows of those who dare to question. To John Koerner, I say "Bon Courage".

another excellent book
Yes, today as I am at this time , 71, years old, but sometime in the past I was 17,years old at the Cow Palace arena, where I saw and listened to John Fitzgerald Kennedy speak to an enraptured gathering of thousands of people of all ages as they absorbed the eloquent words of JFK's speech. There is nor are there any assemblage of words that are adaquent enough to describe my sorrow, pain and sense of loss at his death ---- as we who have lived at time, understand the destruction of hope.

GREAT READ & EXCELLENT WRITER
Although this is a relatively short book of only about 100 pages, it is loaded with a plethora of information regarding the events leading up to the untimely deaths of several of the potentially greatest leaders of the 20th century had they lived. John Koerner is an excellent writer and I encourage him to produce future informative works such as this one. I highly recommend "Why The CIA Killed JFK and Malcolm X".Professor George W. Hoeltje, P. Vietnam Conspiracy
This book really opened my eyes to the conspiracy of the Vietnam War and American soldiers being sacrificed so money could be made from the war from opium and heroin. John Kennedy, MLK, Malcolm X, and JFK were assassinated because they got in the way of the corrupt government and the CIA. This book is really well written. I highly recommend it! -Liz
