Is there such a thing as the perfect piece of chalk? Our university professors think this is a thing.THE PRODUCT: One of our professors saw this product online and we ordered a box of 72 (white) for our department. We have a professor who is allergic to chalk dust, so we thought this might be something he could use as well. It is fantastic - hands-down the best chalk we have ever worked with. It writes perfectly, as if you were writing with a marker, so no scratchy, screeching lines. It leaves zero residue on the hands and board, and erases clean and easy. We purchased a box of the the white chalk and look forward to trying out a few colors.THE PACKAGING: Each large chalk piece is packed individually with care in a large padded box. It is made and packaged in Japan, so that should say it all with regard to top quality and care. Not a speck of chalk dust or broken piece, as has been the case with any other chalk product I have ordered.

Well, it's chalk. So in the world of things to be picky about, it's generally low priority. But for those who must use chalk at a board with regularity, it's the cream of the crop.It's chalk in every sense, while being silky in its writing. Almost like some soft waxy hybrid with chalk. But it also is strong and not as brittle as other chalks. It require's almost no pressure for clean lines to be written. At times, it seems like what I would imagine writing on a mirror in lipstick would be like. Just smooth and frictionless, while not being so soft and wasteful as that would be. It's regular chalk, except better. They've made a better mousetrap here.I have not been able to try to the original japanese legendary chalk itself, but this current (south korean I believe?) version is certainly excellent chalk. I have ordered some other brand of japanese chalk that's supposed to be a clone attempt and am curious to see how it measures up. This is more expensive, but it's the rolls royce of chalk. You do get a better chalk experience, for whatever that is worth to you.Glad to know this product is out there for my chalk needs. Makes me wish I had to use a chalkboard more than once a week.Update: This is good chalk. Definitely puts up the smoothest, creamiest lines. But the Umajirushi DC Chalk DX is easier to write with. As in, less felt friction with when writing. The Hagoromo is buttery creamy smooth, but is a little harder (as in more frictionful) to write with. But this Hagoromo is more expensive, but had better packaging for shipping, and none were broken upon arrival. The Umajirushi had 8+ broken sticks. In the end, it's all just chalk. No doubt the hagoromo is good chalk, but it ain't the only chalk in town. The Umajirushi can give it a run.Update 4/14/24: This is the chalk. Better than the Umajirushi. I've spent enough time burning through both, Hagoromo is the king. Hagoromo has a better coating and better softer consistency through the whole length of the piece.

The chalk is very nice, the color is bright and it has a coating over it to keep the dust off of your fingers which works pretty good, it’s smaller than I what I expected because I didn’t pay attention to the size description, so if you’re plan is to use it for construction or building materials you might want to consider something thicker otherwise it’s great.

I got this for my church for the teachers. No one likes using the chalk boards but with white boards the kids use the markers to write on everything and they dry out and it's a pain to keep the boards clean. I told everyone about this chalk, and all the teachers and even the kids when they come up to write on the board all love this chalk. Now people tell me each week once they try it how nice it is.This is seriously the best chalk you can use. Smooth not squeaky, nice solid lines no skipping and chattering, one swipe with the eraser and the line is gone.

If you're one of the 9 teachers left who still use a blackboard THIS is the chalk you need. Added bonus, it shows up on camera for live streaming very well. Packaging was very secure and none of the chalk arrived damaged.

Hagoromo's Fulltouch chalk works excellently on any board with minimal mess and simple cleanup. A great gift for those who prefer blackboards for illustrations and computations. The exterior of the sticks are coated with a wax that prevents most chalk dust from sticking to your hands. The product can be cleaned off of boards with less mess left behind. The life of the product is comparatively longer than others similar, and the packaging ensures that no sticks are damaged in transit and storage. The color of these can be seen more easily in some situations, helping those who sit further from the board see.Do consider the fact that this is still just chalk. The quality is phenominal compared to others like it. But understand that this is nothing revolutionary or will blow you away. But it is great to have for some of its advantages.I consider this product to be well worth its price with the ability to forego most of the cleaning and the feeling of this brand on the board. If you are considering this product, but not sure, I recommend the 12-pack or other sizes to test whether this product is worth it to you.Furthermore, if you consider the hassle-free and smooth experience of this chalk worth its premium price, than you will not be disappointed. An instructor that I gave a stick to enjoyed it so much that he ask me where to order more.

If you are looking for the best chalk on the market, you’ve found it here. This chalk writes the smoothest out of any chalk I’ve ever tried. The lines are dark and Can be seen by all my students. Along with the stellar writing, it erases easily with one pass with any standard eraser. Lastly, it has a coating on the full piece of chalk that stops any chalk from getting on your hands! This will be the chalk I use for the rest of my time with a chalk board

Die orginale Hagoromo Kreide ist einfach super!Die ganzen Vorzüge sollten den meisten Interessenten bekannt sein (hart und bruchsicher, staubt nicht, beschichtet um die Finger zu schonen ...).Jedoch die Kreide dich ich dieses Mal erhalten habe, ist offensichtlich eine andere ...Hier meine Gründe für die schlechte Bewertung:1. Die Beschichtung ist wesentlich dünner als beim Orginal (bei einer Berührung mit dem Fingernagel ist sie direkt beschädigt.2. Die Kreide staubt beim Schreiben an der Tafel, wie handelsübliche Tafelkreide (die nur ein Bruchstück kostet)3. Sie ist schneller "verbraucht" an der Tafel, da sich die weichere Kreide schneller abnutzt (oder alles in Staub herunter rieselt?)Mein Fazit: Achtung vor dem Kauf, es steht zwar "Hagoromo" auf der Kreide, aber die Kreide, welche ich unter diesem Namen kennengelernt habe ist offensichtlich eine andere.(Oder bei Hagoromo gab es einen massiven Qualitätsverlust?)

Nessuno dei 72 gessetti è arrivato spezzato, già solo per questo sarebbe da consigliarne l'acquisto. La scatola in cui sono imballati presenta uno strato di bolle da imballo che assorbono eventuali urti. Come se non bastasse, all'interno i gessetti sono tenuti saldamente fermi da una struttura di polistirolo che impedisce loro di muoversi o sbattere.Confrontando questi gessetti con quelli che ho sempre usato per scrivere alla lavagna (comuninissimi Giotto) si osserva il diametro sensibilmente maggiore degli Hagoromo. Ciò consente (a mio avviso) di tenerli meglio in mano e ne previene la rottura durante l'utilizzo.Per quanto riguarda la scrittura, ho notato da subito che il tratto risulta essere sempre costante e il gessetto non subisce (a differenza dei Giotto) delle micro-fratture. Ciò è ancora più evidente quando si tracciano delle linee lunghe più di 30/40 cm. Dopo aver riempito una lavagna (dimensioni di 100x150 cm) devo riconoscere che si è appena consumata la punta, tanto che si può ancora vedere la sezione piatta del gessetto (per intenderci, non risulta "affilato"). Confido per questo in una loro lunga durata.I gessetti hanno spruzzato sulla loro lunghezza un materiale simil cera che impedisce a chi li usa di sporcarsi troppo le mani. È una feature che ho apprezzato molto.Producono veramente poca (se non nulla) polvere! A differenza dei gessetti della Giotto, che dopo qualche ora mi generano uno strato di gesso sul pavimento, questi della Hagoromo non sporcano assolutamente.L'unico contro degno di nota è il prezzo: 19 € per 72 gessetti contro i ~ 6 € per 100 della Giotto. Anche fossero longevi il doppio rispetto a quelli della Giotto, sarebbero comunque costosi. Solo il tempo me lo dirà. Tuttuavia, tenendo conto di tutte le altre caratteristiche che hanno non posso fare altro che dare 5 stelle.Consiglio vivamente a chiunque utilizzi per molto tempo una lavagna l'acquisto di questi gessetti. Chi studia come me una facoltà di fisica e fa uso intenso di gessetti, noterà subito la differenza e scommetto che difficilmente tornerà indietro.

Amazing chalk, worth the hype over it. All pieces also came in un broken because of unique packing system hagaromo uses. Smoothest writing chalk I have ever used. Seems to last longer as well. Use mine frequently, and have only gotten half way through the first stick.
