* As a producer of European Disco music, the influence of JEAN-MARC CERRONE is second perhaps only to that of GIORGIO MORODER. Beginning as a drummer in the late 1960s, CERRONE would go on to sell over 30 million albums in a decades-spanning, internationally-successful career. * The 1977 release of SUPERNATURE saw Cerrone blaze a trail into electronic disco, inspired by Moroder's work with DONNA SUMMER, and resulting in the all-time classic title track, a UK top ten hit. * The slow-burning classic track GIVE ME LOVE has also proved an enduring favourite and in recent years has reached a new audience through a BOB SINCLAR remix. * SUPERNATURAL continued Cerrone's American success, with the whole album remaining at #1 on the Billboard Disco chart for four weeks, as well as reaching #56 R&B and #120 Pop and charting in the UK. * BBR is proud to present SUPERNATURE in its full original form, complete with extensive liner notes featuring a brand new interview with Marc Cerrone. * Released in deluxe Super Jewel cases, this BBR remaster is a must for all Disco, Dance and Pop fans out there!

Look out the window a new day is dawning
For me this is proper Disco very much not mainstream but true underground Disco. Brilliant album the engineering production is very very good well produced. Heard of prog rock well this to me comes across as progressive Disco and proper Disco not just jumping on the bandwagon which at the time happened with the big record labels. But enough of that get this and enjoy some proper Disco, yeah get down! 1970s rule.

A missed opportunity
The sound quality of this CD seems absolutely fine, although I do not have the top quality audio equipment necessary to give it a proper test. So why is the disc a missed opportunity? Firstly, because it doesn't even include the single mix of the title track, despite having ample room. Surely this should have been added, as it is the version most people first heard and with which they are most familiar. Secondly, and most importantly, like every other CD version of this album, the first 30 seconds or so of the title track is missing. I had the original vinyl as well as the 12" single, and no CD release has ever included the full recording. If this remastering was done from the original master tape, where has the rest of it gone? Presumably people who have never heard the full version won't notice anything, but doesn't anyone check these things before they are released? It's about time this album received a decent CD release.

70s disco classic - well track one. Not quite the version I was expecting perhaps the one I heard was the 12" release?

Supernature...Super Classic!
Music today is not bringing good sounds to my ears so for some time I have been searching in the past. Cerrone is a french musician (Similar to Giorgio Moroder profile) from whom I have only heard "Supernature", so I went to explore more of his music. He has more than 10 albums and found some catchy dance/Europop music. In 2014 he re-released his music via coloured vinyls respecting the original art. Very good work that also includes the cd for vinyl buyers which is very fair considering not many artist do that today. This Cerrone 3 album, besides giving us "Supernature" (Nr. 70 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978), includes "Give Me Love". Thanks Cerrone for giving us such a good material.

Talented Frenchman
I was not familiar with Cerrone or any of his work until a month ago. Wow was I suprised to learn, he produced the CD in the late 70's. This was considered disco at the time. It is just great beats with killer sound effects. Cerrone is very talented and on the cutting edge of music. I am really picky about the genre of dance music I find enjoyable to listen to. I will never get tired of this CD as the songs all have different beats with animal sounds, which makes it more enjoyable. I would definityly recommend listening to this CD to understand where I am comming from. The Music Dude

Eurodisco's best exponent?
It could be argued that Cerrone was disco's most interesting artist. He successfully integrated the best arrangers, musicians in to a mix that transcendend the genre.Supernatural was his best offering. Everything gels on this one.The concept, his collaboration with eclectic artist Lena Lovitch, amazing arrangements and the overall sound is simply amazing! There are very few recordings in any genre that sound as good as this. The four on the floor beat never sounded this cool! SIMPLY EXCELLENT!! Get this you won't regret it!!!

If you love drumming/drums you'll love this one.
I remember listening to this album on vinyl when I was younger and just starting to learn how to play drums/percussion. I tried to find music from Cerrone at local music stores but no one seem to have heard of this band. This was of coarse before the internet was even a thought in anyone's mind so finding music by Cerrone was difficult to say the least. I have always enjoyed listening to the drumming from this album. If you enjoy a great beat with excellent vocals/lyrics and melodies that explore the senses, then you should give this cd a listen. I would say that this music is a cross between the bands/music projects of Chic, Earth Wind & Fire, Donna Summers, and Billy Thorpe. Engineering and production of this music was years ahead of its time. Now that I can find music by Cerrone (online) I will probably purchase more cd's from this artist.
