Worked perfect for my project
We used this to cover the exposed edges for some new melamine shelves that we bought for our pantry. We followed the directions provided on the package, and had no problems. The instructions indicated you should use the iron at 150 degrees, not sure what setting that would be on my 20-year-old iron, so we figured the silk setting (#3) was a good place to start. It worked just fine, melted the glue and attached to the shelf as I was watching it. We ironed directly on the edging, and the iron did not mar the surface. We had 3/4 inch shelf and purchased the 3/4 inch edging and lined it up with the top edge of the shelf, it was the perfect size, no cutting required at all. We had to sand the edge slightly to smooth it out, but that was all. The material is thick and flexible, and looks great. The white matches my shelves perfectly (or because it is vertical and the top is horizontal, I can’t tell the difference, who cares!). I would recommend you go ahead and buy it!

Best one I have found
One of the best quality melamine edge tapes I have found, very thick, good amount of glue on back, sticks well.

Works great!
I used this to fix some exposed edges for some shelves that I purchased from a big-box store (you know the places). The process of applying this to the shelves was extremely easy. Couldn't be happier with the results. And, the edges match the color perfectly. Here's some tips for naysayers, though!1. Buy the NEXT size up for the shelf thickness that you need (ie: your shelf thickness is 3/4"-inch. You should BUY the 7/8"-inch roll). You'll have to trim it down with a utility knife and sand the edges, but you don't have to worry about perfectly aligning things and hoping that it stays lined up, or if the edge material is actually 3/4"-inch. This is how all edge banding works, btw.2. Cut the length you need from the roll, and have a little bit of overhang on both ends. Secure the piece of roll material in place with some masking tape, to keep the roll material centered to the shelf's exposed edge. This is to hold the roll material in place to keep it from shifting, or becoming unaligned from the shelf. Just to clarify, you want some overhang on all 4 edges (because you're going to be trimming it off/ lightly sanding it).3. Use some parchment paper between your iron and the roll material. It won't burn, and it keeps you from possibly leaving unnecessary marks on the newly applied edging.

I’ll try a different brand next time.
The product is ok. The glue does not want to stick even after multiple times of reheating.

Surprisingly easy to install
First off, after reading through tons of reviews, I could not find a definitive answer to "How hot should the iron be?" See the included pic of my iron, that setting worked perfectly.Once the iron is up to temp it only takes 4-5 seconds for the glue to melt. I was attaching this to the rough edge of a 4x8 sheet of Melamine. If you see that the edging is not perfectly placed, you can press the iron on for a few (5-7) more seconds to resoften it up and slide it around a little to make it perfect. I bought the 3/4" edging for my 3/4" Melamine and it did not need to be trimmed at all. Fits perfectly. I highly recommend.
