Twin Hammers "It Will Bash"
When I was looking into getting a rock buggy I looked at the available options... I wanted a sturdy buggy 2 speed transmission and an unassembled kit...I was not dissapointend in any way with the hammers kit... assembly was rather simple with great instructions and pictures for reference...I purchased this kit knowing I was going to upgrade it as time went on... and it came with a few of the options that the rtr kit does not include...I run a sidewinder 3 and a 4600kv castle brushless with savox steering servo and a factory shift servo... (purchased separately)Steering is slow even with the good servo but that is due to the 80's style steering set up... with the available upgrades out there you can switch to a bell crank system... which was the plan all along... (I have the "Sir Irie kit but yet to install)The only part failure in stock form was a lost driveshaft grub screw causing the rear driveshaft to come apart... that was most likley an installation error on my part... and was my first upgrade to mip driveshaft units...2s lipo with a regular hard case battery and my gearing allows you to run for about 30 min in high gear and almost an hour in low gear...Rock bouncing in low gear is pretty well controlled and fun... bouncing in high gear is crazy... and being able to shift between rough and smooth sections on the fly works perfectly...3s is crazy... spends more time on its top but quite fun...Open area 2s plenty of speed and drivability... 3s has tons of torque twist and will drag the rear tire on demand...If building the kit I suggest you get the stock shift servo as that is the only one I found to fit and work every time with zero issues...Get a quality radio that let's you set channel 3 end points or you can damage the shift servo rather quick...During assembly I would also suggest that you use the correct size taps for ALL screw holes when building the kit... stops the issue of screws stripping out... you will need several metric taps to do this...All in all a great valentine's day present from my wonderful wife...

Poor quality, but OK.
Mixed feelings about the Twin Hammers. While it's cheaper than most kits, it's also lesser quality, so overall my impression is pretty average at best. It went together OK, but the quality of the plastics and their design decisions are poor.Shaft cracked when tighteningGear box case screws under the shift servo are supposed to be lightly tightened, but I stripped the head trying to get it in bcos it was so tight (I have good allens)On the next gear box case screw I used a torx to avoid stripping, and it broke the torx head bcos it's a really small head and super tightThe spur/pinion cover didn't fit over the the pinion, so a hole need to be drilled.Screws are bad quality.Way too many tiny allens and plastic tapping in to poor plastic. They could have tapped some of the plastic.Manual while OK for me, compared to others like MST and Xray is really bad.Shocks leak.Steering rods are too short, I think they'll be the 2nd thing to fail.I'm really struggling to change gear, even by hand.Wheels are junk.It handles ~OK, but it wheelies way too easily so it's rear heavy. As a crawler it doesn't fair much better bcos even with 500k diff oil it slips.Everything else is OK.

Good concept but too fragile (and not 1/10 scale)
This was my second Twin hammers. Its a cool vehicle in concept but they both seem to break all the time. I got rid of the first one for that reason. A few years later my RC club was doing a "twin hammers only" class so I bought another one (kit this time) thinking a few years would have ironed out the problems. No. This rig is fun when its running but pretty much breaks every other run. Even on 2s.The rear upper links always break. The plastic is too brittle and the ball joint cracks. Blue Monkey makes ti links but that's another $40. Spur gear always strips so you need the Losi kevlar upgrade. The two speed trans shifter never worked in either of mine. In general this RC is a pain to work on and since it always needs repairs I find myself leaving it busted on the shelf, and taking another RC. I really wanted to like this rig but It always seems to be broken and awaiting parts or repair time.

fun truck heres some pinion and motor ideas
this rig is awsome!!! a fun well layed out build very rugged swampers are a nice touch i run mine with a goolrc combo 3650 3900kv it broke the front diff bearings while open the rear drive shaft the hinge pins would not recommend for high speeds great asA crawler. The slash is better for high speed

Twin hammers Rock racer kit
Schnelle Lieferung.
