Best Muffin Pan I've Ever Used!
I recently purchased the USA Pan 12-cup muffin pan (standard size) to make breakfast frittatas. In my old muffin pan, the egg and cheese stuck so bad I could barely get the frittatas out or the pan cleaned afterwards. So, after reading reviews, I decided to try this non-stick pan. I followed the directions and used NO oil or Pam to grease the muffin cups. Just poured the batter (about 1/3 cup) directly into each cup and baked. The egg muffins came out with just the tip of a spoon--absolutely perfect with no clinging residue in the pan. I've never had a non-stick pan that was truly non-stick until now. I washed the pan with a little soapy water and it looks like new. Handwashing bakeware is no problem as I always hand wash non-stick pans or other metal bakeware. I'm also impressed with the quality of the muffins vs those baked in my old, dark "non-stick" pan. They baked perfectly--lightly browned and evenly baked all the way through. This pan is definitely worth the extra money. My old muffin pan is going in the trash!

Superb quality and ease of use
I first developed my extreme affection for this brand of cookware when I bought a couple of round pizza pans. They are so amazing that you have to be careful when pulling your pizza out of the oven because the pizza will literally slide right off it, no matter how sticky your homemade crust might have been before you baked it. That's how completely non-stick they are.Slowly but surely, I've been replacing all of my sheet pans with these USA Pans, and now I'm branching out to other bakeware. This cupcake/muffin pan was one of my latest additions. I've had both regular metal and silicone muffin pans, and of the two, I preferred the silicone. However, with a full dozen cupcakes or muffins, that thing was downright floppy, and even though the cupcakes/muffins didn't stick to it as much as they did a metal pan, it was still hard to release them at times. I also hated using liners because they're so hard to peel off baked goods at times.I made a batch of muffins with this pan yesterday and couldn't be happier with my decision to buy this. I didn't grease the pan at all, just poured the batter straight in without liners. Once the muffins had cooled, I nudged them a little bit and they came right out of the pan with nothing more than a couple of crumbs left behind. I had twelve perfectly baked, gorgeous muffins without any fighting with the pan.Cleaning these is such a snap too. Even if residue sticks to them, all you need to do is gently run a wet sponge or dishcloth over them and whatever is on them comes right off. I haven't used this pan yet to make blueberry muffins, but I've roasted berries on my USA Pan jellyroll pan and even the caramelized juice comes right off just by wiping the pan.As if the ease of use isn't enough of a sales point, these are by far the sturdiest pans I've ever owned. They are a little heavier than typical pans, but they don't warp like other, flimsier pans I've owned. They're extremely well constructed, and as soon as you pull them from the box, you'll be struck by the quality. The only downside to these is that you can't use metal implements with them because you risk scratching the coating, and they do have to be hand-washed. I prefer all of my cookware to be dishwasher safe, but for these I'm willing to deal with hand-washing.The thing is, I'm not even a baker. I don't typically rave about pans, but I've told everyone I know about these. Between the non-stick surface, the easy of cleanup, the sturdiness, and the fact that they're made in the U.S., they're pretty much perfect. I now own a total of eight USA Pans with plans to purchase more. Every time I buy one, I immediately want to order another to replace another piece of my old, inferior bakeware.

It's the perfect muffin/cupcake pan AND it's made here!
I'm not a professional baker, but I do bake a lot. I usually make three dozen (healthy) muffins every week. We use Greek yogurt and unsweetened applesauce to replace the fat and whole wheat flour to replace all-purpose flour- some people report that a lack of fat (butter/oil) in a recipe will result in muffins sticking to the pan. That's not necessarily the case. I began searching for a new muffin pan after losing a few too many muffins (as a result of sticking to the pan). This review compares the same muffin batter divided into three different types of muffin pans: nonstick, 100% silicone and this pan.NONSTICK: LOOK- produced a nice dark crust; muffins tops darker; TASTE- moist and delicious; EASE OF REMOVAL- a few stuck to the sides of the pan (even with the cooling in the pan for 5 minutes, and twisting as pulling the muffin out of the pan); WEIGHT- medium; CARE- dishwasher safe, hand wash recommended, baking spray difficult to remove from top of pan100% SILICONE: LOOK- the muffins needed additional baking time (10 extra minutes), and still didn't produce a crust on the bottom and sides of the muffin; TASTE- muffins did not set well, they were denser; EASE OF REMOVALl- smooth, although one did stick- just needed to pop it out by inverting the pan; WEIGHTt- light, so light that it needs a baking pan to be placed underneath during baking; CARE- dishwasher safe, baking spray difficult to removeUSA PANS: LOOK- produced a nice crust, not dark; muffin tops lighter in color, even baking; TASTE-moist and delicious; EASE OF REMOVAL- smooth, no sticking; WEIGHT- heavy; CARE- dishwasher safe, hand washing recommended, baking spray comes right offResult- the silicone came in last place (produced a denser muffin, with no bottom/side crust). Nonstick- from just this baking it proved not as efficient as the USA Pans. As I am not a professional baker, having a darker muffin does not bother me- as long as it tastes moist and delicious. However, combined with past experience of losing a few too many muffins - due to sticking to the pan, I'm putting nonstick in 2nd place. The USA Pan, is heavy duty and heirloom quality. The muffins turned out beautifully, and the pan cleaned easily. I'll update if the quality changes or if I try a better pan. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy baking healthy muffins for my family.
